Bunga & Gula Jalan Campbell — Restaurant in Negeri Sembilan

Today's service was a total nightmare. Brought my mom here from HTJ after her medical checkup to treat her something nice. And I know this restaurant very well with their good foods bcos I'm a regular customer. Paid the meal @4.46pm, tkramai orang masa tu and we were STARVING. Had a little chat with mom then I checked @5.22pm still tkdapat lg makanan.

Tgk front staff just chatting to each other in the bar and had a good laugh, while me raising my hand to call one of them but they didn't hear me. I also shouted out 'scuse me' and psstt but still they didn't listen bcos they were too loud, too 'busy' to notice🙄

So kena lah bangun sendiri and tanya why the meal not ready yet cause it had been like 30 mins of waiting and we were in kind a hurry. Without saying anything one of the staff went to the kitchen, aku duk la balik tunggu update. Bila dia keluar dari kitchen dia sent out meals to other customers who got there after us. Like what?? Hellooo aku kat sini tunggu kau update ape jadi kat makanan aku???

Was so disappointed that they did not even try to communicate with us, apologize or explain anything. That was when I had it. Order took too long and no communication whatsoever! Aku mintak refund and keluar. They did try to compensate us with pastries(?) (idk i didn't see what they packed) masatu aku tgh kluar dia panggil "kakk kakk" dari bar tu nak bagi but sorry la I can't accept it, should be awal td kau explain kt table kenapa order aku taksampai² org lain pula yg takpanas punggung duduk lagi tu dah dapat dulu.

Tolong la improve sikit staff alert dgn order customer, kau keje bahagian fnb dh mmg tu je keje kau kot lepastu staff...

Ok. Felt like I was in Kuantan town. Old vintage yet hipster coffee shop in the old Seremban town. Located just the opposite of the IPK Seremban, this cafe really took me away.

So the name is Bungaa & Gula, Bunga with double A. Maybe it is to differentiate with the other one cafe Bunga & Gula located at the Oakland Seremban 2.

Ordered Pesto Chicken Sandwich and Salted Egg Pasta Chicken, bot were delicious. Alhamdulillah. And tried the latte, good aroma of coffee, dark roasted I reckoned. Good coffee beans to begins with.

Went upstairs to use the toilet, sadly it was not well maintained. The water reservoir (kolah) was dirty and the toilet as well. There was no partition to separate between the upstairs and the ground floor. Even though ground floor is air conditioned, I believe the aircond unit will have to work twice hard to keep below area cool as it is not a confined space. They should somehow put something in between so that the cool air wont flow up and mix with the hot air upstairs.

There is also no big menu of the coffee displays at the counter. You have to take a peek at the small menu slides like a restaurant. They should put one. This is a normal practice for a coffee shop to displays their items. Just a suggestion for them.

I always support locals and especially serving coffees and pastries. I love them very much. Saya doakan semoga lebih sukses dan terus maju ke hadapan. If my thoughts count, good for you ok 😇

A must try. Everything is sedap and the price is not that expensive also. Definitely will come again.

Bunga and Gula challenges the stereotype that “nothing exciting ever happens in Seremban.”

While many cafes chase trendy new locations, they’ve chosen to set up shop on one of Seremban's oldest streets, Jalan Campbell. The old townhouse has been thoughtfully transformed into a vintage gastro station, where minimal renovation keeps the nostalgic charm of old Seremban alive.

The menu offers a diverse selection, ranging from the must-try Klasik Nasi Goreng Cili Api (since you’re in Negeri Sembilan, after all) to a variety of freshly baked goods. They serve the usual coffee options, but if you opt for heavier Asian flavors, their Honey Lemon or Orange Juice are perfect refreshers.

It's an ideal spot to catch up with old friends, with the soothing kopitiam-like ambiance inside the air-conditioned space, surrounded by aesthetic shopfronts. While the song selection could be a little more relaxing, I appreciate that it isn’t overly loud.

As for the pricing, it's more in line with Greater Klang Valley expectations, so don't expect small-town Seremban prices. Given the effort to maintain the town’s heritage, perhaps the state government could consider offering some incentives for businesses like this.

For Pokémon Go players, this spot is ideal, as it has several PokéStops and a gym nearby. Plus, it’s conveniently located close to a mosque, making it easy for those who wish to go for prayers.

Customer service hits a neutral note—not too warm, but not cold either. It suits the Gen Z vibe of the place.
