Visited the market, and I have to say this place is quite clean and it doesn't have the typical wet market smell. It's split up by levels and signboards, and it's quite easy to navigate! Ground floor is the fresh produce, with the food stuff that can be consumed immediately. They've local coffee powder towards the side of the market as well! 1st Floor is the dried seafood level. Anchovies, shrimps, squid, you name it, it's here! 2nd Floor is the clothes level 3rd Floor is the food court 4th is the UTC level If you carry a lot of items on you, there are the local children that offer to help you carry it for a fee. Something like a personal shopper. Do it at your own risk. Overall pleasant experience over here.

Urban Transformation Centre (UTC) Tawau Wth the new UTC, residents in Tawau now enjoy the facilities and services in dealing with government agencies UTC Tawau consist of 10 government departments which provide counter payment services. The ground floor of the market are foodstuff such as fresh fruits, keropok amplang (amplang crackers), dried crackers imported from Indonesia and other fresh produce. On the first floor are dried preserved sea-food such as dried salted fish, dried anchovies and dried prawns which Tawau is famous for.

First time in Tawau Tanjung Market. A very busy place. We headed over to the ikan bilis section. Various shops and variety of ikan bilis to choose. We went around to look and did a research on the price from one shop to another. Very cheap compared to KL. You can always negotiate here and get the best price. I don’t know about the parking area because we took Grab from our hotel. The traffic midday is very packed. So might be a good idea to just use Grab or Maxim.

" bang, aku angkat ni kotak ", budak topi hitam menawarkan diri.

Lagi tebal muka, lagi tebal poket. Kagum dengan usaha mereka. Mungkin dah beratus kali kena reject, sehingga berjumpa skill untuk 'closed sale'. Saya pun dah...

This is one of the biggest market in Malaysia. It consists over hundreds of stall that is divided into few categories such as stall for selling veggies, dried food, fruits, meat, clothes, cosmetics and few others more. There was over four hundred peoples doing business in this place alone. I am not too sure about the opening and closing hours during this pandemic but some of them offered cash on delivery service, as well as pick up service where you just need to contact them beforehand, and they will take it to your car when you arrive. This place is pretty crowded almost every day but during this pandemic management give limits of how many person can be inside to shop on a limited time so sometimes the queue are long and you need to wait. The parking lots in this area are also pretty limited since this market are surrounded with few other commercial buildings. So if ypu have the extra dollar, just paid for a runner to the shopping because it is...
