Good View Seafood Restaurant — Restaurant in Borneo

Be careful with this restaurant. Always ask for the food prices beforehand. They will tell you a different price when you want to pay. If you are not alert, you might blindly pay it. This is the second time this has happened to me. A few years back, my friends and I stopped going to this restaurant for this reason. Two days ago, we decided to go back. While eating, we laughed and talked about how the owner had conned us before. Guess what? They did it again, but this time we had secretly written down the prices beforehand. At first, he told us the price for the two mantis prawns was RM120, but after paying, we realized he charged RM140. When we confronted him, he said he had mistakenly remembered the price he told us earlier and refunded RM20. We ordered two mantis prawns, la-la, deep-fried fish eggs, four coconut waters, and sotong masak telur masin. The cleanliness is also very bad. You can see rats and cockroaches everywhere. Bladdy lady boss tried to rip us off. We ordered all small dishes but when the order arrived, they were big portions. Best part, they can argue that it's calculated per head.

Nevermind..we continued eating thinking that they will charge us on the small dish as it was their mistake but to my surprise, they had the audacity and cheek to charge us extra. Imagine for 3 pax the bill came to RM 190.00.

Argued my way and told them off that it's none of my business if they made a mistake. They eventually gave a reduction and we paid RM 160.00

Furthermore, the food was extremely mediocre and the service was below par but more profit driven.

Honestly, I'd rather pay slightly more at Kam Ling Restaurant. At least I am satisfied with the taste of the food and the quality of the service.

Errmmm ppl always said you can find cheap seafood in Tawau. I beg to differ. Let me share my experience.

We bumped into this restaurant and decided to give it a try.

1. Ambience It's like a few hawker centre combined to become one. Air conditionedless and constantly you can feel that the smoke and scents from kitchen goes around you. Giving you the extra perks to bring home some aroma after dinner.

2. Attitude Attitude decides your appetite whenever you walk into any restaurant. This particular shop, has least patience with no menu given. The more questions you asked, the sour the face is. If you don't want to entertain questions, then give menu la. Customers are not here to consume your face.

3. Taste of food Mediocre. I'm from KL. I find them just mediocre. No big deal.

4. Price RM32 for sotong. RM32 for prawn. RM33 for this special Sabah vege. All for portion of 3 pax. You tell me it's cheap. I'll leave the...
