The Status of the Hadith Among the conclusions of scholars regarding the status of the hadith:

Imam al-Suyuthi states that the hadith is dhaif (weak). (See al-Jami’ al-Saghir, 2/64)

Imam al-Sakhawi said that the above hadith is narrated by al-Baihaqi and its sanad (chain of narrators) is dhaif (weak). (See al-Mughni, 1/174)

Imam al-Sakhawi states that the sanad is dhaif. He also states: Imam Ibn Solah said that it is an unknown hadith in Musykil al-Wasith and Imam al-Nawawi ruled the hadith as munkar (denounced) and bathil. (SeeMaqasid al-Hasanah, 427)

Imam Mulla Ali al-Qari said that the hadith does not have a source or the source of the hadith is forged. (See al-Asrar al-Marfu’ah 236-237)

After analysing and reviewing the opinions of scholars regarding the above hadith, we are inclined in stating that the sanad of the hadith is dhaif because Imam al-Hakim said that ‘Ikrimah did not narrate the hadith from ‘Umar RA. However, the hadith is supported by another authentic hadith:

From Mu’az bin Jabal RA, the Prophet PBUH said:

رَأْسُ الأَمْرِ الإِسْلَامُ، وَعَمُودُهُ الصَّلَاةُ، وَذِرْوَةُ سَنَامِهِ الجِهَادُ “The head of the matter is Islam, its pillar is the prayer and its peak is jihad.” Sunan al-Tirmizi (2616) [Imam al-Tirmizi states that this hadith is...

It was named as Masjid Assyakirin, which defines "Gratefulness". It is a centre of religious activities by Muslims in Bintulu. It has once organized state-level event of "Majlis Nuzul Quran" (an event to commemorate 'birth' of Quran). As a matter of fact, it is the largest mosque in Bintulu division with a cost of RM 6.5 million, and also the only mosque in Malaysia which is maintained by BDA (Bintulu Development Authority), a local municipal authority, not religious departments. Located at a new town of Bintulu, bandar Medan Jaya. Masjid Assyakirin facing South China Sea togather with Kiblat direction and not really far from Pantai Tanjung Batu. Based on it's architecture, this building was one of the masjid built without wall (minimum numberd of wall) and all jemaah who performed prayer at a prayer hall outside will get a wind blow...

The prayer area has been beautified and there is air conditioning. It's pretty comfortable and quiet, great to focus on your prayers. There are many religious books, Quran & tahlil books available for use. The prayer outfits (telekung) are also clean & available for muslimahs. The toilets & ablution area are quite spacious & nice. With spacious parking lots, free cool drinks (sometimes) & comfortable facilities, it's a nice place to visit & perform...

This mosque has many activities other than 5 times daily prayer as religious class, weekly tazkirah and many more. Ample parking space for visitors. Clean and comfortable mosque. Adequate time interval between azan and iqamat for the jamaah to perform sunat prayer.
