We had a day spare in Male before our flight and came over to Crossroads Marina on a day pass and spent an hour or so in the Discovery Centre. This has been our 2nd visit to Maldives resorts but in this single hour we learnt more about Maldivian culture, history, language, and geography than in any of the resorts we've been to! Sultan gave us a guided tour and he is extremely knowledgeable and interesting. The exhibits are good and there's a few fun things to keep kids occupied with too. Highly recommended....

The place isn't visited much and hence we had to visit it twice before we found it open. It's a small place but must visit for kids. There isn't any vsistor charge, free entry. The discovery center has interactive displays too. Some history of the place, some knowledge about how islands are formed. I loved it. Some displays are not working it would be nice if they were maintained. The lady at the reception was knowledgeable in history and willing to chat about Maldives ....
