Pretty but way too tiny (short and skinny) of a beach. It's popular so even on a random Tuesday afternoon, it was packed by noon. And mostly families with young kids so even tho we had one of the nicer shaded spots on the beach, we still couldn't enjoy ourselves as it felt more like a swimming pool rather than a beach. I cant imagine what it's like on weekends. There are food trucks tho nearby and the water is nice and seemed clear. We stayed maybe 30mins and decided to drive 15mins down the road to Mon Choisy beach. Much better--nice long beach with beautiful water that's ropped off for swimming and some umbrella/sunbed vendors as well as food/drink trucks nearby. Also clean toilet and great parking. Perfect vibe with locals and tourists enjoying ourselves. Skip pereybere especially for couples and go...
Read moreNice small sandy beach with very nice blue colored water when is sunny. The beach is crowded specially at the national holidays or at the weekend. The sand is very hard. There are families with tends, tables and chairs … Behind the beach in the forrest are some portable restaurants spreading the smell of fright meat, chips, onion… The color of the sea water is spectacular… but no place on the beach. Around the beach are mainly apartment houses and many retired French people. The evenings are very dark, few lights on the street, some low level restaurants, but big and good supermarket. There is a public bus to Grand Baie, but the traffic jam is common, because everybody rent a car, but there is no infrastructure for do many cars. The weather is very humid and hot. There is...

Some delinquent locals park their cars with massive sound systems and play blaring loud music for hour and hours. The volume feels like rock concert level, but the music is not good - songs cut off dead, silent spell then repeated... and it goes on and on. It's like a drunk 5year old gets made the DJ, with way too much volume under their control.
The community does nothing, police did nothing, so we suffered through this for hours. We asked someone at a local business, who said this happens every Sunday and can sometimes carry on late into the night. I feel sorry for the restaurant owners and guests accross the road from...
