Cafe Pereybere — Restaurant in Isle Mauritius

recently dined at this restaurant and had an extremely disappointing experience. I ordered 2 fried rice dishes, one bol renversé, and 1 additional fried rice. Unfortunately, the food fell far short of my expectations, especially the fried rice, which was truly awful. The rice seemed like it had been cooked at least 2 days ago, and it lacked freshness.

As someone who works in the hospitality sector, I can confidently say that the quality of the food was well below par. What was equally disheartening was the catastrophic service. The waiter didn't offer a warm welcome and was exceptionally rude throughout our meal.

On a slightly brighter note, the restaurant's location by the beach was the only redeeming factor. However, the overall experience left much to be desired. I can't help but rate it just one star. I hope they take this feedback seriously and make significant improvements to their service and...

I’m reading the earlier reviews just now after visiting the place. We weren’t planning to go there, just saw the place once came to the beach and decided to check it out. I must say the service seems to have significantly improved, as our waiter was polite and we actually got our food quite fast - maybe on 20-35min. The drinks were fine too. As for the dishes itself - just eatable, but definitely far far far from delicious or tasty. It’s just ok if you’re hungry. But it’s not an option if you care about your diet or any personal needs. The exterior - its a failure of course. That kind of location is not an excuse to have the tables and seats in such a poor state! The eating experience must be pleasant 360’ around. The overall quality of the food is average. Service staff are friendly but do expect to wait during meal times. We got there at 7.15pm and the crowds started to come in (we're in mid November).

We didn't enjoy the sweet and sour pork (meat was really tough). The garlic prawns and chicken stir fry was average though the actual portions are small. Oddly enough, the steak and chips was enjoyable!

We are told that their specials are their deep fried starters and fried noodles, so maybe we'll try these next time.
