Wang Thai — Restaurant in Isle Mauritius

Was passing by and decided to test it after seeing it on TripAdvisor.

They do have a quite big parking at the back of the resto, use the the little alleyway next to it. 👌

Staffs were very welcoming and helpful 👌 The place and atmosphere is very cosy and have beautiful and unique deco. ✨

The waitress was helpful and recommended us some menu items and everything was good, including the drinks. 👌 Prices were limit ok for the quality and quantity of food but unfortunately might need a little work on the food temperature. We ordered chicken soupe with coconut milk and it wasnt that hot, so was the fish fillet in the pad thai which was cold and everything else hot which was very noticeable, but pad thai itself very good.

Overall good 👌 and will visit again...

The place has good atmosphere and polite staff, but the food didn’t taste well for me personally.

I had a Pad Thai with shrimp: there was measly five shrimp on the whole thing, but that’s fine. What’s not fine, is the taste of old burnt oil that leaves you an aftertaste, especially its recognizable in tofu which absorbs flavor. Feels like this restaurant doesn’t really clean their woks (or whatever they use for the stir fry) as often as needed. Unfortunately, I wasn’t keen on finishing the dish.

The chicken cashew stir fry that my wife had was a bit better though.

The cocktails were kinda watery, I’d hope for more flavor. Prices are pretty generic for this area, nothing worth noting. I don’t think that we’ll return here,...

We have been to this restaurant four times and we would live keep coming back for more! The food is delicious and the atmosphere is great, but what really sets this place apart is the amazing personal service from the staff. They are so friendly and welcoming, and they really go out of their way to make every guest feel special. I also love that they treat their guests to complimentary vanilla rum, which is delicious. And if you're looking for a dessert recommendation, you have to try the pineapples in a frame with ice cream – it's amazing! The duck is also a must-try, so soft and flavorful.
