I had a very unpleasant experience yesterday. We visited the park with 4 kids, sat there for an hour and after having one sip of beer we were approached by a security guard who did not warn us but started taking pictures of me sitting there in my bikini trying to intimidate me. He threatened me with police for violating the rule that bans drinks/food in the park, which I was not aware of. I apologised but he went on and on with his threats, scaring all of my family. Read moreThe security guard of this place stopped us from walking on it after closing hours (we didn't see that we couldn't or that it was closed). Rather than giving a warning, he searched us, intimidated and threatened us, demanded to give him all our cash or have us taken away by the present cop, who seemed to be in on the corruption/extortion bout of the guard. Read moreStunning place to enjoy the lagoon and a great place to set up for a day of sunshine and water. Feels like something out of the Maldives. No music or salespeople hassling you. Even if you don't plan to spend all day, it is worth just walking around the boardwalk to look at the water and mangroves.
FYI - There is a MX$20 entry, but that is substantially more reasonable than the bars and clubs down the road. You get a wrist band so you can come and go...
