I really wanted to give this establishment a higher score because the dolphin trainers were fantastic—kind, informative, and clearly very knowledgeable. The dolphin and sea trek experiences were enjoyable and, in my opinion, close to worth the premium entry cost. However, the overall experience was overshadowed by some key issues that make me hesitant to fully recommend it.
Firstly, the aquarium itself was quite small with a limited variety of aquatic life. We walked through it in about 12 minutes, even taking the time to read every exhibit description. For those only visiting the aquarium, the entry price doesn’t feel justified.
The real frustration came with the photo and video prices. With the premium ticket costing $160 USD per person, I expected more inclusivity, especially since personal cameras aren’t allowed during the experience for safety reasons. But after our activities, we were shown a photo/video package priced at a steep $355 USD—more than double our entry cost. The photos were nice, but the video included other guests, and the price felt excessive for digital content. Despite them trying negotiate with me to get me to buy the photos after I tried walking away, the establishment offered a slightly reduced price. They then decided to raise the price after we had settled on a middle-ground price. This left a sour taste and seemed like a predatory approach. So we walked away yet again and then found us on our way out and tried to negotiate it again at the higher price than the one we agreed upon previously but at that point my interest in my photos and the establishment had fully faded away.
To improve, I recommend including all digital photos and videos in the premium package, even if it means raising the ticket price by $10-$20. Additional revenue could come from optional printed photos or a keepsake book, which would feel like a more fair and transparent offering. I also believe your establishment will make more per customer overall than your current pricing.
In summary, I’d love to see the aquarium expand its exhibits and for the establishment to reconsider its approach to photo pricing. Making photos more accessible and enhancing the value of the actual aquarium part of it would elevate this experience to a 5-star level, especially with the exceptional...
Read moreOMG this was one of the most amazing experiences of my life! Swimming with dolphins was my #1 bucket list item and this place offered that and more! Our dolphin Maya was so precious and we had so much fun with her! She shook our hands, kissed us, sang to us, jumped over us, swam around us between us! My favorite part was when they had 2 dolphins push us like superman across the pool!! The whole experience was so peaceful yet exhilarating! The trainer working with us (I believe his name is Mayo*, he had a different name tag on that day) was so kind, knowledgeable, and awesome to work with!! He really loves what he does, as it appeared all the staff does, and it shows by the way the dolphins respond to them..they really care!! Everyone working there appeared very happy, and they were very helpful and polite when keeping us in line so we didn't upset the system. I really appreciated the passion our instructor Mayo had with the dolphins, pure love 💕 I am eternally grateful for all they do to keep the dolphins healthy and safe while providing the public the opportunity to share the experience! What a dream come true!! I will say, be prepared to fork out big bucks for the pics and video to archive the memory, the upfront price for the activity is reasonable, but the picture package at the end was a shock indeed! I realize they have a lot of overhead and the ticket prices couldn't possibly pay for all of that, so they get you in, share a dream with you, and then hope you can afford to buy the pics to support the cause. We did, and it will be worth it, it's truly priceless 💕💞🐬 Thank you to the staff!! Oh we also did the scuba diving with the stingrays and fish...that was pretty intense for me, but I did it and it was truly memorable as well. The instructors were extremely calm and well trained which kept me calm when I wanted to freak out, lol 😁 If you get cold easily, where the wet suit..I was a freezing down in...
Read moreWe did the dolphin excursion Monday. While it was fun to interact with the dolphins, I don’t think it was worth the price for what you actually get. One of the biggest disappointments was that they don’t allow you to bring your own camera or phone. Instead, most of the experience is spent posing for their photographer, and afterward you’re hit with a massive upsell.
Out of the 300+ photos they took, I only liked a handful, but the pricing was shocking, $300 for just 10 digital photos or $50 for a single photo. That’s more than the excursion itself.
I am updating my review as a representative did reach out to me however I’m disappointed my concerns about the experience were not even acknowledged, and the pricing they offered is still far above what feels reasonable (you can see from the screenshot). Again, the experience felt more like our time with the dolphins was designed around creating photos to upsell afterward, and their response has focused solely on continuing to sell those photos at a high price…The irony isn’t lost on me.
If you want to pay $300 for a couples’ one-on-one to basically get to touch a dolphin as it swims by, and then spend the rest of the time standing next to it so they can take hundreds of photos (while not allowing you to take any of your own “for the safety of the dolphins”), just be prepared to pay around $600 USD for what ends up feeling like a very expensive petting zoo experience.
For the price, I would have much rather spent our time actually interacting with the dolphins than being forced to pose so they could take photos the whole time. It felt very manipulative.
Overall, the experience was enjoyable in the moment, but the value just wasn’t there once you factor in the excessive photo prices and how much of the excursion is centered around staging pictures instead of actually enjoying time with...
