While exploring Ensenada for the first time, I saw a marker for this museum on Google maps and my wife and I made a pin GB of trying to find it. After walking around for a while, we went in a side gate after passing the open air theatre (under construction). We walked around the beautiful garden and observed the statues, plants, and plaques that talked about historical figures of Ensenada (in Spanish). We left and walked around the front of the building to discover this wonderful museum. The man at the desk spoke no English but, after passing a very low admission fee, have us a binder with information I English on the exhibits. Nearly all of the signs for each display was in Spanish and English. I am so excited we visited. There are a series of Baja missions we weren't aware of. We got to learn so much about the history of Ensenada and its people. I can't believe they're as me to offer so much I this museum with such a low admission cost. There are MANY rooms and stations in the museum. I do wish my Spanish was a bit better. The gentleman at the desk had stories and anecdotes about the building he wanted to tell me but I missed a lot of what he had to say because I struggled with interpretation. Read more(been there about 7 times)Its a nice little museum, for about 1.25 dllls, tell about the story of Baja and its indian trives like the kumiai, try to get a guide for it, you can get a bit lost there,they have some souvenirs to sell at the end,They really really need to make the service better , i give it a 4 start becuase its one of the very few museum in Ensenada,you will be done in about 20 minutes,make shure you see trhu the spy pip holes that will look to the casino. The inside place there's not much to look at but how is made inside, its a historical building. Shopping area with bathrooms. Lots of space. Has alot of grass..I liked the grassy area which you can sit or lay...
