Hotel Villa Marina — Hotel in Ensenada

this is the second time we have stayed at the Villa Marina in recent weeks. the last time the room was terribly run down and the hotel clerk told me each room was only allowed one bottle of water per visit. EVERY HOTEL WE VISIT IN BAJA GIVES FREE WATER. tap water is not drinkable.||||we own a home in BAJA. we travel regularly to Ensenada and also to Baja Sur (southern Baja). ||||the toilet in the bathroom is located in a tiny little alcove. it is impossible to sit on the toilet correctly. you must sit on the side, not the front. THIS WOULD BE ILLEGAL IN USA.||||there is a nice little bar in the hotel lobby. we have been there a few times. ||the female bartender charged us way too much on one bill so on our next visit we asked how much my controy liquor was. she told us 70 pesos then tried to charge us 120 pesos each. after our complaint, she reduced the bill. I just bought a bottle of this liquor at COSTCO it cost 112.72 pesos for a one-liter bottle. WOW. this bartender should be fired. ||||I HOPE THE OWNER OF THE BAR IS PAYING ATTENTION TO THE RECEIPTS AND CASH SHE TURNS IN. BECAUSE IF SHE CAN CHEAT AND LIE TO US SHE DOES THE SAME TO HER EMPLOYER.||||we were on the 9th floor. regular flights of helicopters were flying overhead and...

The personal deserve 5 stars for their efforts to provide the best customer service. The Wi-Fi works great, the TV channels are great. The breakfast is one of my favorites and I had a couple of piedras en los frijoles I was lucky that I didn't break a tooth that reminds me my mother's frijoles but l really loved the breakfast next time I'll be real careful.

Beware the dollar was at $14.50 at all places here they had it at $13.00. My kids really enjoyed the swimming pool. Complaints: Somebody was smoking marijuana and the smell was so strong that we had to go outside the building I felt kind of high when I got out.

There's no privacy between your room and the next room door. There's a door between both rooms and you can hear everything and that's where the smell got in our room the smell of weed is completely free. The bathroom needs to have an exhaust fan. They need to upgrade the shower doors, carpet, door knobs, blankets basically the whole room Last time they had a small fridge and they charged less and now they charge more and no fridge. Anyhow I had a good time here and always check other hotels reviews...

Met family from Sonora who were participating in the Baja Epic Mountain Bike 3 day Race. Their Corona Spa Hotel was full, but we were fortunate to find vacancy in this 10+ story modern hotel. Hotel clean, secure free parking, within walking of a couple if blocks to the main street filled with restaurants, pharmacy if needed, various cultural artistic works, Nite life locations, near the harbor where cruise ships dock. Hotel had a huge open area as you walk in and make your way to reception area, it would have been nice and more inviting with a few plants, chairs, sofa available to guests or visiting family. Small restaurant located on ground floor, but we did not use. Within walking distance to Victor's Restaurant heading south on the main boulevard just over the bridge and next to Corona Spa. Full breakfast for 4 came to $20 dollars and all selections included 2...
