Mr. & Mrs. Waffle — Restaurant in Ensenada

We arrived on a rainy day and had to wait outside because our party of nine included two small children. After approximately 30 minutes, we observed from outside that a large table was available and clean. However, the server repeatedly informed us that the table was still dirty, and we needed to continue waiting outside in the rain. After reiterating that the table was clean for the third time, we were finally permitted to enter the establishment.

We promptly placed our order, but the beverages were not delivered until 10-15 minutes later, which was not satisfactory. It appeared that friends of the owner/manager were receiving prompt attention, while our table was neglected. We were informed that our food would take 50 minutes to be prepared, so we made the decision to leave.

Overall, it was a disappointing experience, and I would not recommend visiting this establishment on a weekend or when the manager's friends are present. It is easy to identify these individuals, as the manager will be seen greeting them and promptly delivering their food.

I went in bought a waffle of corn. In Mexican culture corn is integrated inside the mass of dough so that it has a refreshing texture in the waffle while eating it. I got was a regular waffle with cooked and on top was wet pieces of corn that seemed to come out of a can on top. At the very least they could’ve been more descriptive in the menu. But they charged me 160 pesos for the waffle itself. The waffle looked chewy and looked badly under cooked with how it presented to me. I didn’t want to eat the waffle as I was so disappointed that I called the people in charge about this ludicrous concept of putting a meaningless bland insulting waffle that I had the absurd of choosing as my main dish. I might be overstating myself about how badly a restaurant messed up in a single order however if you have any decency on representing yourself in the food industry don’t take expense towards the quality of your food that is served...

This place is great! You will find here waffles with almost everything, mole, chicken, bacon, eggs, ham, apple, strawberries so you'll have options to choose from. The place is comfortable, well arranged and it you can choose to eat inside or outside. The quality of the food is great and well served. Waffles are made on the spot so they are not frozen or soggy, as well as the fruit. You will enjoy and have a great time here. They have several drinks as well, including coffee (refill), orange juice, apple juice, Mexican chocolate, Chai tea, smoothies, licuados (fruit mixed with milk) to mention some. They don't have Kids' menu but they can split a waffle if it's too much for a kid. Service is great, you are well attended by the waiters and also the owner will greet you and either serve you if there are a lot of customers. In the end, everything is worth it....
