Parque de Santa Ana — Attraction in Mérida

Expo de Oaxaca at the Santa Ana park. This park has great street food if you are looking for traditional eats you won’t be disappointed there is plenty to choose from. This location also hosts expos from time to time and this Oaxaca expo had so many wonderful things ranging from clothing, jewelry, toys, home decor and great eats. We found some delicious breads and the famous huge tortilla called tlayuda I’m not sure if that’s how it’s spelled but they sure were delicious. Oh lets not forget the stand with the grasshoppers I could not believe how busy this stand was. They had samples so we mustered up some courage and took a taste. Parque de Santa Ana is located in the historic center of Merida. It is a traditional market. While there are tourist options count people can still get their fruits, vegetables, etc here. On the weekends there is an artisanal market. This is a lovely place to stop by. There are also plenty of food options. Don't be scared of the restaurants hawking their wares. Even though all the restaurants have different names and different owners, All the restaurants here have the exact same menu! They have the exact same prices! Un lugar emblemático de Merida y por su cercanía con el paseo de montejo se convierte en un lugar típico para degustar comidas tradicionales de nuestro lindo yucatan, mi muy humilde apreciación el día de ayer lleve a una persona a cenar que viene del centro del país y fue muy desagradable que los meseros de todos los puestos nos empiezan a abordar para atraernos a sus puestos y porqué digo que es desagradable? porque es un griterío en ese momento, que uno se siente mal porque no te dejan que con tranquilidad puedas decidir y elegir donde deseas comer, ya una vez instalados ordenamos unos tamales torteados los cuales dejan mucho que desear porque se siente que estan hechos sin amor por llamarles de alguna forma bonita, no tenían manteca, ni su toque de sal, prácticamente estaban tiesos y casí me atrevería a decir que no eran del día....pero esto no acaba aquí tanto a la persona que lleve como a su servidora nos hizo mal, a tal grado que la persona que lleve el día de hoy se quedo encerrada en su hotel por tantas veces que iba al baño, yo personalmente les pediría tanto a los dueños de los puestos de comida como a los comensales, tener mucho cuidado con lo que ofrecen a los comensales tanto locales, nacionales y extranjeros porque nuestra comida es muy rica pero sí le sumamos que no son comidas preparadas del día y con el calor que nos ofrecen estos días imaginense que estragos puede hacer en cualquiera cuerpo.....y sobretodo al turista lo hacemos pasar un mal rato para empezar acudir a un doctor y si viene con boletos reservados para algún tour pues ya le hechamos a perder su estancia en nuestra ciudad....autoridades, supervidores y gente local, vigilememos que esto no siga pasando por el bien de TODOS nuestra salud es...
