A “Pizza Bar” Without a Visible Oven and a Kitchen Without Identity
From the moment you walk in, this restaurant promises an authentic Italian experience, but it falls far short. Despite calling itself a “Pizza Bar,” there is no visible oven or a dedicated space where you can see pizzas being made—something you would expect from such a concept. When I asked, they told me they use a stone base in a conventional oven, which explains the underwhelming results.
But the issue isn’t just the oven—it’s the lack of attention to detail. With the appetizers, they brought out what they claimed was olive oil, but it clearly wasn’t. When I questioned it, they said they would check, but I never got a straight answer or any confirmation.
The caprese salad was another disappointment. The tomatoes, which should have been fresh and flavorful, were just supermarket-grade Roma tomatoes—dry and bland. The mozzarella was the generic kind from a plastic container, and instead of basil, they used parsley. A basic yet glaring mistake.
The pizza looked great, but the taste didn’t match. The crust was decent, but the toppings were low quality: the tomato sauce was practically nonexistent, the cheese was the cheap pre-shredded kind, and the bell peppers, which were supposed to be roasted according to the menu, were not. When I asked, the staff had no answer.
The spaghetti Bolognese didn’t redeem the experience either. The sauce was straight from a jar, with no effort to elevate it.
Overall, this place seems designed for tourists, especially Americans, where quality feels like an afterthought. I saw several customers sending back dishes or asking for modifications. I won’t be returning, and for the price, I expected much better. I left...

Read moreHey! Overall the dining here was fine!
We had bruchetta, carbonara and a pizza. The pizza was good! Packed with toppings and quite filling! The bruchetta was fine too, but its served on a thinner, different kind of bread, not ciabatta, not to our personal liking but it was ok! The carbonara was ok, its a real carbonara, but for me it was a little bland.
In terms of the service, it was fine! We did have one waiter who seemed a little grumpy, but everyone can have a bad day.
The gentleman at the door who welcomed us was very friendly! We really liked his energy!
That being said, we were told once we got the bill that there was a 10% minimum tip, I wanted to leave 100 pesos, but being asked for more was unpleasant, and in the end I left a smaller tip in cash.
Hope our two cents helps! All the best...
