Very bad experience in hotel Holiday Inn express Monterrey Tecnológico at Monterrey Mexico.

No matter I hanged the l’m busy sign on the room door a cleaning service employee called to my room to ask me if I wanted the cleaning service. It was 10:00am December 25 2019, it was after the 1st of 2 stay nights. I was sleeping.

I called to the front desk to ask to talk with the manager’s but, the lady in the reception told me she was the only person in charge so I told her what the problem was, she just justified their cleaning co-workers saying they don’t know who guests want the cleaning service, whaaat ??!! she didn’t want to tell me her complete name by phone so I went downstairs to talk personally with her, she was chatting with a hotel maintenance guy and I asker again for her company ID or complete name, she only told me she was Marcela and continued justifying the cleaning co-workers and start saying I was not been polite so I decided to go back to my room knowing that I was not going to fix anything, on my way back to the elevator the maintenance guy who was with her started to confronting me, and laughing about me I asked the lady is he was her boss or why he was doing that if I already had finished the conversation with her at that moment the maintenance guy left and I came back to my room, of course I couldn’t rest any more. I never knew the lady’s complete name, she just gave a business card with the name of the Guess Service Manager. The maintenance guy had a tag on his shirt with the name of Ismael.

I hope you can hire more experienced people or train them better.

And, of course, don’t call to the room if the I’m busy...

I have been a loyal Holiday Inn guest for over 15 years, and unfortunately, my recent stay at this location was the worst experience I have had at any Holiday Inn property.

Upon arrival, I was immediately met with a strong, unpleasant odor throughout the hotel, which seemed to stem from dirty carpets and excess moisture. Additionally, the common areas had no air conditioning, making the environment uncomfortable.

The check-in process was inefficient, with only one staff member attending to guests, leading to a 30-minute wait. Upon entering our room, we quickly realized the unpleasant odor was even stronger. To our disappointment, the bathroom was not properly cleaned, as there were visible hairs in the shower and sink.

After a long day of traveling, working a trade show, and meeting with vendors, we had hoped for a restful night. However, this was not possible. The air conditioning in the room was excessively loud and could not be adjusted properly. Additionally, the bedsheets felt damp and sticky, making sleep extremely uncomfortable. The floors were also sticky, further adding to the unhygienic conditions.

To make matters worse, at just before 8:00 AM, housekeeping entered our room while we were still inside the shower, disregarding privacy and common courtesy.

Due to the unacceptable conditions and lack of proper service, we will never stay at this location again. I strongly urge Holiday Inn management to conduct a thorough review of this property to ensure that future guests do not have a...

I don't usually leave feedback but this time is a must. To being with, this hotel is overdue for an update. It's dirty, there are places that looks like no one has ever passed a vacuum or a broom. I requested a room close to the pool but I was assigned a room far from it. The hot and cold water faucet at the bath tub is labeled backwards. Red(hot) on the right and Blue(cold) on the left. I had to call maintenance to find out why there was no hot water coming out. His response "Oh yes that's how we do it in here" Really?

Worst of all was the attitude of the employees working the front desk AM shift on October 28/2013. Check in on 10/27/2013 at night time was fair. They couldn't make a courtesy phone call and wanted to charge for the call to another HIE in Mexico (unbelievable). If this is how they treat their loyal gold members I can just imagine how they treat the non members.

The staff at the restaurant was great; breakfast selection is fair for the price. Their exercise room is small, old and lacks equipment with only two pieces to offer the third piece is a bench, not much you can do with it.

Don't be fooled by those pictures posted on their site, they're deceiving. Notice how they don't show you the rooms, exercise cave, restaurant etc. I will not recommend this hotel to anybody and yes I will NOT be coming back to this location.
