Post update Nov 30th, 2023:
From 5 stars, Iâll give it 2 now. Iâm very disappointed because the prices went up significantly from one day to another. I paid $149 Mexican pesos for my favorite dish: Yellow Daal (vegan lentils) the last time I was there, and today it was a big disappointment to see the same dish costs $209 Mexican pesos. It used to include rice⊠now they make you choose between rice or naan as if it was an extra, when the rice was always included!!! đ€
I wonât spend any more money in this place! Iâm upset by this abusive practice towards local customers. We donât earn USDs o British pounds!
They now charge for the spicy and tamarind sauces too! đ€
Whatâs next? Will they charge for salt and pepper too?
This used to be my fav place in Playa. Nor Iâm way beyond disappointed with their foreigner and gringo prices.
THERE ARE MANY LOCALS WHO WANT TO EAT AFFORDABLE INDIAN FOOD.
After seeing the new menu yesterday, I literally stood up and left! I was really really upset. One thing is to charge a couple of bucks more per dish, but $60 and $100 pesos more for the SAME DISH that I had a month ago is ABUSIVE.
Even the roti is now $40, when it used to be $25. EstĂĄn locos. No manchen.
The waiter, Diego, was nice though, and attentive.
I ended up going to Babeâs, the noodles bar thatâs around the corner. The prices are fair in comparison yo the portions they serve, and they havenât gone up since they re- opened after the pandemic.
It was a birthday celebration. Itâs not even that we canât afford it. Itâs the fact that I felt upset because I felt such a sudden rose in the prices is abusive.
I vote with my pesos, and I didnât feel like supporting what they did.
ââââââââââââââ- The food is delicious. They have lots of vegan options đđ±. The staff is amazing. Jorge and Agustin were very attentive and they made sure we had everything we needed during our dinner. I would...

The atmosphere of Indianos is truly wonderful. The environment is warm and welcoming. The staff are very kind and even the owner himself will make the time to greet your table himself. It makes you feel like you are eating your friends table.
And the food. Oh, the food. The food here puts even those I've held in high regard to shame. Everything is just incredible. The curries are rich with a tantalizing depth of flavors. Perfectly seasoned and spicy! They also can accommodate if you'd like less heat or more. I tend to like my food a bit on the spicier side and everything I had was superb.
I ordered the aloo gobi. My spouse had the chicken Tikka masala. Both were excellent. My potatoes were cooked perfectly and my cauliflower still had a bit of it's crispness to it's bite. My spouses chicken tikka masala had tender chunks swimming in vibrant and delectable curry. Our rice was perfectly cooked and fluffy. The garlic butter naan was tender yet crisp on its bottom. No chewy or tough naan here!! I've also had the pleasure of ordering the chana masala. That is also an absolute delight! I actually don't think you could go wrong with anything you order here.
I have ended my meals with a masala chai. It comes out hot and fragrant. The spices in the tea are mellowed by the hot milk lending to a comforting drink and perfect end to your dining experience.
Over all I can't say enough good things. If you're looking for a great dining experience with even better food, this is it. You won't be disappointed. Portions are very generous and the price is more than fair. You'll be back. And I...
Read moreMy husband and i started feeling homesick and decided to have Indian Food for dinner after a long day at Xel Ha
We saw the reviews and trusted that Indianos The Curry Factory would offer authentic Indian Food
To our dismay and disappointment everything we ordered lacked any authenticity to Indian Flavors or Spices
Chai: We were expecting a Hot & thoroughly brewed Masala Chai (Ginger, Milk , Cardamom) but what we got is a concoction of these ingredients mixed together. Just with a first look at the color of âchaiâ we were able to tell it was going to be really bad
Paneer Paratha: It was a very doughy and undercooked. Paneer could be hardly spotted, lacked any flavor or spices
Cheese Naan: Naan is traditionally baked in a tandoor and is crispy with brown spots. What we were stuffed is undercooked white roti stuffed with cheese and lacked any flavor
Dal Makhani & Paneer Butter Masala: They both had a sweet taste to it, the spices were weird and we have never tasted them before. Lacked any similarity to authentic Indian Food.
Considering the kitchen took enough time to be able to prepare all dishes from scratch, this was a very disappointing dinner. We had leftovers and did not want to waste food so packed some to being back to our hotel. They are still untouched, we are hoping we can finish them.
All in all the chef is very very out of touch with Authentic Indian Food Flavors. We live in Canada and the food here was worse than the bad Indian food weâve tried there. Until we are able to satisfy our Indian Food Cravings in Mexico, we will keep reminiscing of our time in India earlier in 2023 where we tried so many mouth watering Indian...
