We were really excited to visit the Malecon in Mahahual, especially after seeing all the vibrant pictures online. The location itself is picturesque, but I have to say, it didn’t quite live up to the expectations in person. The iconic sign, which is often a big photo-op for visitors, looked a bit worn out and in need of a retouch. It was clear that it’s been exposed to the elements for a while, and a fresh coat of paint would definitely bring back its original charm.
That said, the beachside location is still lovely, and there’s a relaxed, laid-back vibe to the area that makes it worth a visit. It’s great for a casual stroll, enjoying the sea breeze, and grabbing a bite at one of the nearby restaurants. With a bit of maintenance, the Malecon could easily go from good to great.
Hopefully, they’ll invest some time in sprucing up...

Read moreExcelente lugar para descansar y relajarse, disfrutar un excelente dia de paseo por el malecón. Caminas por la avenida rodeada de locales comerciales muy pintorescos y perfectos para comprar un recuerdo. Llega el hambre por la caminata y hay varios restaurantes a la orilla de la playa perfectos para comer y tomar una refrescante cerveza.
