Book somewhere else!

We booked a 4 hour snorkel trip with these people and it turned into an 7 hour catastrophe. I paid the deposit and got an email telling us to meet in front of a hotel by 9:15. We get there and by 9:40 nobody shows up. Another tour operator calls them for us and they finally send a shuttle, obviously they forgot us. We get to the marina and are told by the owner we could have just drove there in our rental car, that would have been good to know! We were supposed to leave at 10:00 but spent an hour and a half waiting for more confused customers to show up. Finally we set off and after a 45 min ride in an awful little boat and we go to a couple locations where we get to snorkel for all of 10-15 minutes before being rushed back on board. On our third stop the motor on the boat gives out and we end up having to be towed to El Cielo where we get to swim for about 20 minutes. The boat can’t be restarted so we wait for another boat to be sent out to pick us all up and take us back. We start this journey at 9:15am and finally make it back around 4:00. Total unorganized and poorly run operation, book elsewhere. I attached a picture of us being towed...

The first reef was great I think it was the Palancar one. The water was like 10 feet deep and very clear and calm. The second one I think Colombia reef was not so great. It was like 25 feet deep, darker and rough water. Whenever I had to readjust my snorkel gear, I'd get out from underneath but the waters were so rough, I would take in so much water by mouth, and get dizzy from being thrown around. The guide didn't do much to help this either but slow down a little. The last stop was also not so good which sucked because it's the ultimate destination for this tour, el Cielo beach. The waters were so rough, we couldn't bring the boat close to the beach so we had to swim to it. On the beach, the water was very rough and it would pull me out when I sat in the water. I threw up when we stopped the boat there. They took forever to get us out of it to the beach and the boat was rocking around too much. The boat itself is so small that rough waters make it unpleasant to ride in. When we were leaving for the excursion, people were late and they had us go back to pick up one more person 10 minutes after we left....

Warning. This company has 3 boats that carry a total of 36 people. So when 6 cruise ships show up they fill up quick. So you would think they would quit taking additional reservations when they fill up but they don’t. They pass you off to another group at a different marina. And this group does not have glass bottomed boats. Alberto will promise you like he did to me that you are guaranteed glass bottomed boats but this other group has none. Zero. Also you will get a very convincing email several weeks before your trip to say due to construction at the port they cannot get their shuttle vans to the port so you will need to take taxis. Even though a short trip it cost my group $90. And there is no construction going on. They just have no vans to get you to these other snorkel companies. So they come up with this elaborate lie to convince you they are taking care of you when they are just passing you off.

Find another snorkel company that will be honest with you but skip this company. They all go to the same reefs...

My daughter and I were picked up at the hotel by the snorkel tour group. We were met by Carla Blanco, who was very professional. She made sure everything was good for the group, and introduced us to the Captain and our tour guide. We went out to two reefs, Colombia and Cielo. We had a fantastic time swimming with the fish and rays. We had Guacamole with pico and chips and were also offered refreshments. At the end of the tour they gave us rides back to the hotels. It was a fantastic experience and were felt like they really took care of us. One of the people on the boat was not a swimmer and she did fine. It is a family run outfit, and we were with a smaller group compared to the boats crossing past us that were jammed packed with tourists. The price was very reasonable as well. We highly recommend.

We had such an amazing time with our tour guides and captain Jorges and Manta! We got really confused on how to get there - this is in Caleta! We ended up getting a taxi outside the port in Cozumel, and I would recommend trying to coordinate something prior to pick you up. Originally our boat was ready at 10 am but then they told us 9 the morning of, but it ended up starting at 10. We were back by 3 pm. I am not a strong swimmer at all but I had such a great time snorkeling. We saw turtles, crazy amounts of fish, lobsters, and sharks on our tour. We had a great time on the sand bar just hanging out with each other. They gave us the amazing ceviche and the best Mexican beer to pair with it. Amazing time!!!
