Feddan Place is a symbolic square for the people of Tetouan. It was established in 1918 by the Spanish colonizers in an area called Souk El Zar' (wheat) on the western border of the old city , between El Mellah and El Mechouar El Saeed. Its construction was supervised by the Spanish architect José Gutierrez Liscura, with the technical assistance of the Tetouan painter Mariano Bertucci. It was a gathering point for Tetouan families for more than 60 years until it was demolished in the 1980s.
● Old Faddan Square
Al-Faddan Square witnessed the colonial and independence periods and was a breathing space for the Tetouan community for more than 60 years, especially during the sixties and seventies of the last century. The square has great symbolism in the hearts of the Tetouanis as it carried with it the memories of an entire city before it was demolished in 1986.
The demolition of this square was like the obliteration of memories that the residents of Tetouan lived among its trees and café chairs. All that remained for the city’s residents were memories that strongly connect them to their square.
● Newly built acre yard

It has thus become a replica of the original square with new memories.
This square attracts a number of tourists from all over the world every day. Visitors to Tetouan cannot miss the opportunity to visit it and enjoy the panoramic view of the white city and take some...

The area is clean, well-maintained, and feels secure, making it a stress-free choice for parking. Best of all, the prices are reasonable—great value for such a central and...
Read moreThe medina of Tetouan is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful in Morocco. Easily accessible from the 'Al Boustane' campsite just outside the city. From the roundabout, take a taxi (an experience) to the city for little money! Even without a 'city guide' you can easily find your way around the old town. Polite and friendly people who don't bother you, quite the opposite! I had a great...
