The museum was small but well looked after with lots of descriptions boards for you to read. There is a toilet but you have to ask for the key from the counter. There is no parking and it's difficult to park in most car parks without a local disc. I managed to find a small car park behind the leisure centre which was free and is a small walk to the museum. Car park was Gas House Lane car park.

A great small museum, fascinating display on the history of bagpipes. The staff at the tourist information were friendly, knowledgable and extremely helpful. We were lucky enough to visit when the Northumbrian Pipers Society were there and managed to hear some wonderful piping!

Free entry all day every day. Such a wide variety of items brand gifts to buy, all from local crafts folk. Staff have great knowledge of the area, well worth spending a few minutes asking questions and delving deep into the history.

This is a beautiful building which houses the Bag Pipes museum on the first floor. I was pleased that there was a lift as I am disabled and have missed so many exhibitions elsewhere due to no lift being available. On the first floor you can see the exposed beams. On the ground floor there is the tourist information and a fabulous shop which showcases the work of local artists and a wide variety of different crafts. I found the prices to be good...

The tourist information office is found here. There’s a many items on sale here, made by local artists. I was happy to purchase a bookmark that, as I was told, was made by a fifteen year old. She’s a fantastic artist! The staff here are so friendly and welcoming. They even wished me a safe journey home. I love being in Northumberland, the people are so friendly and kind. I hope to come back to...
