Mola Mola Safaris — Attraction in Erongo Region

We booked a full-day tour with Mola Mola, and it was worth every second!

Early in the morning, we started in Walvis Bay and were taken by boat to Pelican Point. The boat ride itself was an amazing experience, with some unexpected surprises that made the trip even more special. Once we arrived, Mola Mola Safari provided us with waterproof clothing, and we met Andreas, our tour guide for the day, who explained everything about the kayaking tour.

The kayaking tour with hundreds of seals was breathtaking! It was so much fun to get closer to the marine life while paddling on the water. Andreas always had interesting information to share and took great care of us.

At lunchtime, we enjoyed a fantastic braai—unlike anything we had ever experienced before! I am still speechless about what an incredible experience it was. The food was absolutely delicious and truly unique.

In the afternoon, Andreas took us into the desert. Driving over the dunes, observing the fascinating desert wildlife, and taking in stunning views—Andreas made all of this possible. We were even served a small snack in the middle of the desert.

Simply amazing! It was the last day of our Namibia adventure, and it could nog have ended any better! With the catamaran we went into the bay and saw pelicans, cormorants, hundreds of flamingos and dolphins and thousands of seals, but most of all, guide Mandela and the captain were great hosts! Afterwards we were treated to an exclusive beach braai with sparkling wine, oysters, surf ‘n turf and amazing salads. No time to relax, because we straight got into the 4x4 and drove to the dunes. Along the beach (we saw jackals and ospreys!) to sandwich harbour and back through the dunes, really high and steep dunes 🫣, luckily our guide and driver was more than skilled enough to make us feel safe. He also knew a lot about the dunes, even found us a dune lark, the only endemic bird in Namibia! Being on top of a dune, knowing the landscape will not change for the next 500 km is both a humbling and amazing experience. Would not have missed this for the world. You're hopping into the most capable 4x4's you've ever ridden in and cruising the massive sand dunes under the guidance of incredibly knowledgeable and friendly explorers. We couldn't believe what we saw on this trip. By FAR the best views/best service/best experience we have had across South Africa and Namibia. We also did the Beach Braai where they went over the top with lobster, steak, oysters and champagne on the beach with seal pups playing all around our little beach side camp. Enjoy your trip!!
