Update :My sis went becos I recommended this place. She didnt get to eat there cos the gentleman man at the door racially profiled her.All the wayfrom Botswana to be told u cnt eat there cos of ur color? IN Africa and in 2023?? MY suggestion if you dont want black people in your establishment please put up a sign proudly. No Blacks. I experienced the same bt ignored the lady bt now maybe u were kind cosnir was post covid and there were no customer's. An umbrella almost knocked me off the balcony and thw thw owner/manager watched as a customer rescued me. No apology or care. Your food is nice, devine bt if u treat people on color shame on u. Review 2021:Dorkside restaurant is the reason I will visit Walvis again and again. The food is superb deserves 5🌟👌. Look at my videos. They look tacky bt the food goes down well with a little wretched Ness. Eat the mess.. Their star dish is obviously the mussels.. 😍🌟😋😍Guys I can't say enough about the mussels, and the seafood crate. Especially the tempura prawns and Cheesy Crabs.. I scored them down a star for service , becos I tried talking to the white manager complementing them and she didn't look interested. Moreover I was almost blown into sea by a falling umbrella only the customers came to my rescue, no batting a lid. From the staff. The waiter also served us after an hour thought we came before almost everyone, hope it's not a race issue. We were the only people of color and foreign. So been from South Africa,the idea was to have seafood for lunch and not at any franchise restaurant but to have a sea atmosphere restaurant, various restaurants was considered and we decided to support this one.The waiter was stunning and so the food. However having prawns as part of the lunch a cold bowl of water was provided to rinse our fingers. Requesting a second servet to dry your fingers became an issue as the waiters are not allowed this additional expense. A bill of more than R600 and they are trying to cut on cost!!.It is also not allowed to include the waiters tip in the bill but a friendly request by the waiter was made to pay it in cash. The servet issue was taken up with the lady in charge for that period but the comments was that it is how it is. Meanwhile in the toilet facility you can use as many paper towls as needed without any issue. My advice is to make sure taking enough servets or wetwipes when supporting this restaurant as well as cash for the...

My friends and I received terrible service, the portions were terribly small, the vegetables cold , the prawns overcooked and the steak undercooked. All in all; the descriptions provided in the menu did not live up to the presentation.

Instead of informing us that they were understaffed upon our arrival they waited until we complained about the tardiness before proceeding to give us a halfhearted and condescending excuse that made us feel as though we were receiving our food from goodwill rather than paying hard earned cash for our meals.

We respectfully complained and instead of hearing their clients views the team at Dockside decided our voices were not up to hearing. I do hope they work on improving their service in 2021 as I will continue to take up room and will not allow ill-mannered wait staff and poor a management system to make me feel like a second-class citizen in...
