This an amazing place if you're an outdoor person. You can enjoy the green grass and trees and smell the flowers. If the weather is nice you can bring your tanning oil with you and your towel to get a nice golden tan ๐Ÿ˜‰ Weekend gathering are very popular as you can see there that many people comes in groups, you can bring your friends, beer, food, snacks and also you can enjoy a nice barbecue with your family ๐Ÿ‘ช It's a great place for kids to play and explore as there's a playground for kids where they can enjoy the football field and the swings also. Many couples go there and enjoy their wine next to the water pond and enjoy the sound of the birds. You can jog and workout there as the roads are very helpful and there's an outdoor gym. If you like to dance or meditate you can do so as many people likes it, no one looks or judge. It's the perfect place to take your dogs to, they can play freely, run, jump, roll over, dogs really enjoys that park and they play with other dogs also. If you got Hungary you can get snacks from there. There's also a man who sells a great home made coffee, an ice cream truck. I totally recommend going to oost park

The Oosterpark, laid out in 1891, was the first large park to be constructed by the municipality of Amsterdam. Previous parks in the city were smaller (Sarphatipark and Wertheimpark) or private initiative (Vondelpark). The English landscape style design is by the landscape architect Leonard Springer. In the park there is a meandering pond, a remnant of a windmill waterway, with a small island in it. For the construction of the Oosterpark, the old Oosterbegraafplaats dating from 1866, which was located just behind the place where the Royal Tropical Institute is now, had to be moved. There was initially a lot of protest from relatives against this move, but eventually the new location was agreed. This became the Nieuwe Oosterbegraafplaats, opened in 1894, which is located further on in the Watergraafsmeer.

Oosterpark โ€“ A Peaceful Green Escape with History & Local Vibes Oosterpark is one of Amsterdamโ€™s most underrated parks, offering a perfect mix of nature, history, and culture. With its lush greenery, scenic ponds, and open spaces, it's ideal for walking, jogging, cycling, or just relaxing away from the city's hustle. The park is also rich in history, featuring important monuments like the National Slavery Monument and the Theo van Gogh Memorial, as well as various artistic sculptures. It often hosts local events and festivals, adding to its lively yet peaceful charm. Surrounded by great cafรฉs and the fascinating Tropenmuseum, Oosterpark is a fantastic place to experience Amsterdam like a localโ€”whether youโ€™re looking for tranquility, culture, or just a nice spot to unwind. A must-visit!
