Trendy hotspot with great vibes and friendly faces

Bar Bukowski at Oosterpark in Amsterdam is one of those lively spots where the city’s vibrant social energy really comes alive. The crowd here is a mix of trendy, outgoing people — including many stylish young women and plenty of friendly, contact-seeking guests eager to meet and mingle. If you enjoy a dynamic atmosphere where conversations flow easily and new connections happen naturally, this is definitely a place to check out.

What really sets Bar Bukowski apart is the welcoming and down-to-earth staff. The bartenders and servers are not only professional but genuinely warm, making you feel comfortable from the moment you walk in. They know the crowd and keep the mood upbeat without ever feeling overwhelming.

Safety is clearly a priority here — the security team is attentive but discreet, creating a relaxed environment where everyone can enjoy themselves without worry. It’s refreshing to see such well-trained and approachable bouncers who keep the space safe but friendly.

The interior has a cool, urban vibe that fits perfectly with the creative and diverse crowd. Whether you’re out with friends or flying solo, Bar Bukowski offers an inviting space to unwind, dance, or just enjoy some great music and drinks.

In short, it’s a go-to place in Amsterdam’s nightlife scene if you want to be where the trendy people are, with great service, a fun crowd, and a...

"This is us at 8:53, just kicked out because the opening time was at 9."

We were unaware of the exact opening time when we arrived at this place. The doors were open, so we entered and sat down, hoping to have a nice breakfast with our two young daughters—one is a toddler of 18 months, and the other a newborn, barely a month old.

We were the only ones in the room since the place has two sections. At 8:53, we went to the counter to place our order. That’s when the staff, with a rather irritated tone, reminded us that we had entered too early and asked us to leave. We were just seven minutes ahead of the official opening time, and instead of being greeted with understanding, we were shown the door.

We have always loved the atmosphere here, and it has been a go-to spot for us. But this experience was truly disappointing. Being turned away like that, especially with two very young children, felt unnecessary and lacking in empathy. We understand rules, but there’s always room for kindness, especially when it’s just a matter of a...

Cool cocktail bar — okay this is a weird gripe, but I think the menu is just a bit too long, like the true hallmark of cocktail par excellence is to do a couple of things and do them incredibly well. This bar has it all, but that also implies a certain shallowness to the quality, given its mostly Gen-Z mostly not cocktail trained staff is pouring from cheat-sheets rather than experience with hard liquor. That being said, if you’re looking for a decent enough plenty hip place to strut your stuff in east Bar Bukowski will do. Expect East prizes. One tiny thing that I think they missed is the bathrooms. There’s quite a lot of thought put into the interior, but then the toilets feel like high school but slightly cleaner. For me a lack of bathroom stool creativity is what can make or break the vibe of a place — but it’s good to leave room for improvement
