Basecamp Haarlem — Attraction in Haarlem

We could not have been more pleased with our experience with Basecamp Haarlem as the dinner / party venue for our July 2024 wedding. We had originally planned on around 120 guests - as such our options locally were limited. We loved the industrial and hip vibe that Basecamp offered. And we were more than pleased with Wesley's willingness to make it work for our large group... split almost down the middle with Dutchies and Americans.

For welcome drinks and dinner we were arranged on the lawn in front of the venue under a tent that was decorated with lanterns and bistro lights. The tables were set with linen cloths, and I was able to select my preference for our place-settings. (Tent, tables, chairs, tableware was all coordinated by the Basecamp team and included in our pricing). Thanks to Pinterest, I had a vision for how the tablescapes would look and dropped extra styling items off to Wesley, along with photos and he made sure the tables looked exactly as I wished.

We had a sit down, plated and served dinner - all prepared by their in-house chef. The food was wonderful. We had access to speakers and audio equipment for music and speeches during dinner.

After dinner we were all welcomed back inside the venue for a "cocktail" hour and the launch of our party and dancing. While we rented our own photobooth, we later learned that Wesley's team can provide this (which would have been a lot easier for us to coordinate).

The interior space afforded our larger group enough space to mingle while also not feeling so big that we were lost in the space.

Through the year leading up to our wedding event, Wesley was our point of contact and was always responsive, thoughtful and helped us find solutions. I felt listened to and felt he understood our wishes and was prepared to execute the vision I had for our party. I would 100% recommend Basecamp Haarlem for wedding parties, or otherwise. You're...

It was very nice before, now it's really disappointing. There are way too little vegetarian options (and they usually include curry or undercooked rice). The ingredients are every day getting simpler and options disappearing...
