Amazing place to visit in front of the Delfshaven old port. It will probably transport you back to your childhood and bring back great memories.
This is an interactive museum, something that was a huge surprise.
First, on the ground floor, you will explore the history of pinball starting with some really old ones from de 1930’. This part it’s not to big, just two rooms where you will find machines from many ages from Europe and the US. There are really cool and interesting facts and also QR code’s that you can scan with your phone and see a video on how those old pinball machines worked (only some of them have it).
Once you finished this part, you will get to a café, I’d suggest that if this is your first time, skip the cafe and go directly to the first floor so you can start playing with the diverse pinball machines.
In the first floor you’ll be able to PLAY and USE all kind of machines, also from many different ages (probably you played one in your childhood). There are some old machines (classics like Arabian nights, matrix, Godzilla) but newer also like game of thrones, as an example.
The whole experience lasted two hours, there are shifts. So once you get your ticket, you get 2 hours to see the museum and play with the machines. We found it to be almost enough. When the shift is almost over, one of the staff comes politely to tell you that you can finish your game and then will be the turn for the people from the next shift.
We left really satisfied and had a lot of fun with the machines, but couldn’t use all of them. They were just too many. It probably will require...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of visiting and playing at Dutch Pinball Museum in Rotterdam, and I must say, it was an absolute delight! From the moment I stepped through the doors, I was transported into a world of nostalgia and excitement.
The museum boasts an impressive collection of pinball machines and accessoires spanning decades of gaming history. It was fascinating to see how pinball has evolved over the years, from classic vintage machines to modern marvels of technology. Each machine was lovingly restored and maintained, ensuring a top-notch playing experience for visitors.
What truly sets this museum apart, however, is the passion and dedication of the staff. The owner and founder, Gerard van de Sanden, personally welcomed us and shared fascinating insights into the world of pinball. Their enthusiasm was infectious, and it's clear that they have poured their heart and soul into creating this one-of-a-kind experience.
Whether you're a seasoned pinball wizard or just looking for a fun day out with the family, the Dutch Pinball Museum is an absolute must-visit. I left with a newfound appreciation for the artistry and craftsmanship behind these iconic machines, and I can't wait to return for another round of flipper-flipping fun!
Thank you to the entire team at the Dutch Pinball Museum for a truly memorable experience. Keep up the fantastic work!

Read moreAwesome Pinball museum! Reminded me a bit of the Pinball Hall of Fame in Las Vegas! So many well-maintained, playable machines, from famous classics (Indiana Jones, Medieval Madness), to some unusual ones we hadn't heard of before (Haunted House, Banzai Run), as well as many recent machines (The Munsters and Iron Maiden were standouts there). Staff is also very friendly and if there is a problem (like a stuck ball) they will come by immediately, and even try to save your ball so you can continue your game. The number of people when we went was good--busy but not packed, always something interesting available to play, and if something you have your eye on isn't available to play right at this moment, if you circle back once it probably will be. (We went on a Sunday, not sure how this is on Saturday or what the visitor limit is in non-Corona times). We bought a day pass since we were coming from further away, and it was worth it--if we lived in Rotterdam, I'm sure we'd come by for a couple...
