We had a really good time at Café Soif a couple of weeks ago. We went on a rainy day at lunch time. From the moment we entered into the restaurant we felt welcomed by all the waiters and the restaurant owner. We sit in the patio they have next to the canal so we could watch the boats. They brought a big bag of toys for our three kids what kept they busy before and after lunch and us parents could enjoy some relaxing time. The food was great too, we order different options from the kids menu that were a success and us adults ordered the fillet and the chicken. Both dishes were delicious! When it started to rain they kindly relocated us to another table super fast and after lunch when they saw us waiting outside for my husband to bring the car, the owner kindly brought us some candy and little toys to keep the kids entertained while we were waiting. Top place with awesome staff....

The last order of the drink we never received... just went to pay ourselves. Food was also a disappointment. We asked if its possible to have one of the starters as a main, they said that, yes,- in the end, it was small as a starter. Tables were dirty, the class they brought for the beer was a bit cracked... Salad was fine, but octopus was quite chewy. At some point, they just closed the kitchen because their oven overheated, I still don't understand how it affects their ability to make another salad. 😑 After this dinner we just went to eat at the nearest...
Read moreCozy place, Dutch food Very nice and cozy place in the Rotterdam historical city center of Delfshaven, not far from the beautiful windmill on the canal. There is a nice view on the canal and on the bridge a d a typical Dutch design. The food is tasty, spare ribs amazing, meat in general is very good. Also cheese fondue is special, they have a good selection of beers and wines. Also good for an aperitive with Dutch specialities as bitterballen, cheese and bittergranitur. There are cats around and cleaning could be improved. Best you book in advance cause just walking in might be a problem. but overall nice place...
