Omniversum — Attraction in The Hague

The dome screen is pretty cool. There is a museum as well as cafe and gift shops. The screenings are mostly in dutch and the english translation is via a sennheiser app that you download. Be sure to get instructions from the reception area because screening starts promptly.

The content is good and varies. Their website is pretty up to date and has both english and dutch which is helpful. Would be great if they added the English language audio connection settings im their FAQs.

We paid about 13euros a piece including kids. I think overpriced for what you get in the evenings (screening only) but willing to watch other offerings to get a real sense of value. Day visitors get access to the museum for the same amount. The museum closes at 5pm.

The theater itself was really nice. We decided to watch Antartica and it was a nice film. A bit too short but really enjoyable. We were not pleased on how we were treated at Omniversum. My elderly father is in a wheelchair with prothesic legs and they forced him to walk up a flight of stairs to another seat. Apparently the chairs next to the handicapped section were reserved (by non-handicapped customers mind you) and due to corona rules he was not allowed to sit there. And please keep in mind that the handicapped section remained empty during the entire movie. There was no need for him to walk those stairs. I found that very disrespectful and unacceptable. The handicapped section is there for a reason... They could have been more accommodating. We will not be coming back to Omniversum again...

Fantastic dome shaped IMAX-quality, 180° wide-screen film theatre. Omniversum opened it's doors in 1984, and have enjoyed viewing their interesting and educative films ever since. Films last for about 40-45 min. Seating is adaptive, from reclined in the front rows, to more upright position at the back. Easy wheelchair accessible entrance, with 2 disabled parking spaces near the entrance. Also wheelchair accessible lift, seating and toilets. 50% reduced price for 2nd film the same day. Also "Ooievaarspas" 50% reduced ticket price for 1st film.
