Hollywood Bakery and Espresso — Restaurant in Ōrākei

As can be seen from my very numerous previous reviews - I traveled often and, accordingly, visited a lot of different cafes and restaurants. I will say straight out that this cafe is perhaps the worst of all that I have visited in the previous few years in New Zealand. The food here is of disgusting quality, exceptionally rude staff - including the person at the checkout and the cook. Sandwiches are old with food that is off, bad smell and terrible taste. Kitchen person deserves a special, extremely negative assessment - I have never met such an unreasonably rude attitude anywhere and never - in any cafe, not only in New Zealand, but also in any of the more than 20 countries that I have visited over the...

What a great choice to come to this cafe! Firstly the people and service was awesome, had a real feel that they were interested in you. Great coffee and i never say that lightly, and the food was good. We both had bacon and eggs (one fried one poached). We saw the omlette come out and the benedict it all looked amazing, we sort of had food envy but we didnt need to. I had to make a sammy with one of my bits of bacon. There were 3 big slices.....value for money.

Get in here Auckland this is...

Oh how far the great can fall. When this franchise 1st hit the Auckland market in Northcote it was outstanding! As judged by their pies and in particular their awesome ginger crunch slice... I would travel deliberately from one franchise to another on my weekly driving around Auckland for one. Fast forward to June 2022... oh dear... the ginger crunch (& all of their sweets) are now 1/2 the thickness... Hopefully the franchise will wake up so the poor franchisees get great...
