Waterview Skatepark — Attraction in Albert-Eden

My favourite skatepark in Auckland. It’s got a variety of ramps that are good for any level. The floor is smooth but not too slick and slippery, the ramps are not too steep and it’s overall very fun. Also decently quiet if you go during school hours. The park also features a pump truck which again is very well made and always empty as it’s a really hard track. As a mediocre skater and a decent mountain biker, I think I can safely say that the pump track/bmx track has been designed really poorly. The transitions between pumps and jumps are super short and steep. A good bmx rider could have a bit of fun here but kids on skateboards or scooters will basically find in unridable and anyone on a bigger bike will also find in lacking flow. Definitely one of the best skateparks in West Auckland, the variety of curves, walls, rails and ramps makes it good. The whole surrounding area is great too. Plenty of good quality concrete to get out on and go.
