Dave is a thoroughly 'good guy' he is also an incredible musician and if that wasn't enough he is an amazing guitar teacher! Inspiring, committed, relatable, thoughtful. His emails after each lesson to recap what was learnt and what needs working on over the week are highly professional on Dave's part - not to mention truely helpful and a great learning resource to go back to. Dave is always upbeat and positive and searching for that piece of music that will be enjoyed and is going to inspire. My 12 year old daughter has learnt so much under Dave's very inspiring tuition over the last two years. For me one of the highlights of Dave's tuition is an annual concert that he gets his students who want to perform to play in. My daughter got such a kick out of performing in front of an audience and because of Dave's own professional exposure in a well known Band, he is able to give the whole show a very real performing vibe - it seemed to me that all the kids who performed in the show this year were buzzing from their experience of performing live and "nailing it"! (he really gets them ready to do their best on stage) And if this isn't testament enough to Dave's dedication and ability as a great teacher let me share with you that as I am writing this review my daughter is actually practicing her guitar, I didn't have to remind her and her lesson is not until next week- doesn't that just speak volumes as to Dave's great motivating/teaching genius!...

“What’s the most important thing about learning bass guitar?” Dave asks. Daughter tentatively suggests “Reading music?”. “Looking cool” says Dave. At that our 11-year-old daughter was hooked. His warmth and kindness and passion for music means our daughter is always happy to go to a lesson, and practices lots, unlike lessons of several instruments she has learned before Dave. His professionalism with personalised lesson notes after every lesson (never before have I seen that!) makes us parents feel involved and help us to help her to pay attention to detail. “Dave says this” and “Dave says that” is something that our daughter frequently says. The tips and tricks he gives her make her feel like a rockstar long before she is! 100% happy parents and happy daughter. We can’t recommend Dave...

My now 13 year old son has been learning guitar from Dave for around 7 years now. Dave is amazing, we both just love him. He has a real gift in that he’s both an incredible musician and a highly skilled, intuitive and attentive teacher. My son respects Dave immensely and really looks forward to his lessons each week. Dave’s care and attention to detail is also impressive - with written lesson summaries each week, plus little videos etc and the annual concerts are awesome. I feel that we are so very fortunate that Dave is my son’s guitar teacher - and I simply couldn’t imagine...
