Review of The Greek House Mediterranean Cuisine The Greek House was our third stop of the day, chosen especially for a sweet treat to finish things off — and we had our hearts set on their Kunafa. We arrived at 5:10pm and ordered two small Kunafas, expecting a short wait. Unfortunately, we ended up waiting over an hour, and just as we were about to leave at 6:16pm, our order finally arrived. Thankfully, the Kunafa was absolutely worth the wait — warm, cheesy, perfectly sweet, and beautifully presented. It really hit the spot. We also enjoyed their Freez drinks, which were cold, refreshing, and paired nicely with the dessert. While the food was fantastic, the long wait definitely took away from the experience. To their credit, the staff did apologise and offered us a little treat for the delay, which we appreciated. The space itself is also beautiful and inviting. Overall, the food and presentation were great, but the slow service on this visit left a less-than-ideal first impression. I’m open to giving it another try — hopefully next time, the service will match the quality of the food.

We recently dined here, it is a fantastic Mediterranean restaurant that absolutely blew me away! We started with a generous hummus platter, featuring creamy hummus paired with warm, fresh pita. It was the perfect appetizer to whet our appetites. For the main course, we ordered the chicken mandy, and it was nothing short of spectacular. The chicken was tender and flavorful, served over perfectly seasoned rice that was fragrant and delicious. Each bite was a delight! To top it all off, we indulged in Turkish coffee, which provided a rich, aromatic finish to our meal. The portions were incredibly generous—so much so that we were too full to even think about dessert, which was such a shame because everything we had was so good! If you’re looking for authentic Mediterranean flavors and hearty portions, this is the place to be. I can’t wait to return and explore more of the menu! Highly recommend! Don’t forget to book the table they are usually very busy!

I went there 2 days ago just as they were closing to get some takeout andhad a bad culinary experience & when i voiced it out to the management, I was invited back again and i am very impressed with how my table was treated. Absolutely delightful in terms of the quality of food and the hospitality of the place. The beef ribs were cooked to perfection, tender, juicy and falling off the bone and so was the lamb on the Mandi…even the rice was absolutely cooked to perfection, every grain separating whilst holding the shape; the balance of flavours, the right seasoning and warmth, presented great. The knafa wasn’t overpoweringly sweet but what a great balance of sweetness with the hint of saltiness from the vermicelli. would definitely comeback and also recommend. Great place for families. Keep up the amazing work.

We had a mixed experience. The food was good but the service wasn’t great, it felt as though they were understaffed.

We went for my husband’s birthday and were visiting from Sydney.

Our entree came out incorrectly which we weren’t too fussed about but mentioned it to the staff. We were then asked in an abrupt tone if we were sure about our order which came across a little abrasive when they had make a mistake. Turns out they didn’t have the ingredients for what we asked for so just gave us something else. They corrected this by bringing out an additional Greek salad and giving us the entrees for free which was a great way to rectify the situation. It would have been good if we were told upon ordering about the lack of ingredients or weren’t questioned when we pointed out the mistake.

We also hadn’t been given our drinks so while our entree was being corrected I asked about it they said that there was a queue for drinks and we were just going to have to wait because we were 8th in line which we thought was odd as we ordered Cokes and it had been about half an hour since ordering.

In the end we got our main, then our entree, then our drinks.

I had also flagged in advance that it was my husband’s birthday and asked through the booking if I could purchase some dessert that they could bring out with a candle. I wasn’t sure if this is something they could do but there was no mention of it throughout the night.

Overall it was nice that they didn’t charge for the entrees, we really appreciated that, but all of the interactions were awkward and a bit rude so we didn’t really...

Extremely Disappointing Experience – Terrible Service!

The food at The Greek House Restaurant was truly amazing, and I have no complaints about that. However, one of the staff members was incredibly rude and completely ruined our entire experience!

We made our reservation a week ago, if not earlier. When we arrived, there was absolutely no direction or guidance given. I asked and paid for our meal, yet I was never told a table number. We were left to figure it out on our own. I ended up sitting at a table that didn’t have a "reserved" sign or any indication that it was unavailable.

We got our food and started eating, but halfway through our Iftar, after fasting for long hours, we were approached by a staff member who told us to move outside because the table was reserved. This is utterly outrageous! To be asked to move while we’re eating, especially during Iftar, is completely unacceptable and incredibly disrespectful.

As if that wasn’t bad enough, they expected us to move all of our food—two starters, two mains, two soups, drinks, and water—without offering any assistance! All we were told was, “These tables are reserved. Did you just pick your own seat?” We were then made to sit outside in the cold, which was beyond frustrating and uncomfortable.

This was supposed to be a special occasion, as my mother flew in from abroad to join me, but the staff’s appalling attitude completely ruined our evening. I would strongly advise against...

Sat 24 May 2025 I recently celebrated my birthday here with a group of 45/50 people, and it couldn’t have been more perfect! The food was absolutely glorious — rich in flavour and served beautifully. Instead of a traditional cake (because honestly, cake is a bit overrated), I chose Um Ali as my birthday dessert, and it was a total hit! Everyone went back for seconds. I had two trays of it set up for the “cake-cutting” moment, and it made for such a warm, indulgent experience.

A huge thank you to Salma, Apekshya, and Emran who were incredibly accommodating, polite, and kind throughout the entire process. They made everything feel seamless and stress-free from start to finish.

They even accommodated vegan requests for 6 guests, which was super appreciated.

Guests couldn’t stop raving about the food and were thrilled to discover such a gem of a restaurant. The interiors are a visual treat — it felt like walking onto a set, with stunning details from the floor tiles to the walls. That design flair made choosing this venue a no-brainer. Highly recommend for your next event or a special night out!

—- Thus 22 May 2025 I finally had Umm Ali after 28 years—and it took me right back to my teen-hood in Cairo. This was my absolute favourite dessert growing up, and tasting it again after all these years was both nostalgic and heartwarming. Rich, comforting, and just as I remembered. What a beautiful trip down memory lane! Great...
