BUTTER Pastry — Attraction in Christchurch

Second review: it was an insane queue before it was even open. I went back an hour later and managed to get everything that I was hoping. The speed for handling customers was fast. Sugarload for a month completed in a day😂

First review: I just knew this place a few days ago and we managed to try some of them before they got sold out. They are very tasty. They ones we had are pistachio and caramel cookie, madeleine, tiramisu choux, hazelnut brownie...probably the least favourite was madeleine too much icing on top. Ingredients taste fresh and high quality, well balanced and combo, not overpowering one or the other. I've been longing for one of Butter Pastry's creations for quite some time after being wooed by the pics of their delicious looking tarts on Instagram. It always looked like a lot of love went into everything Corentin made and after finally getting to taste one of his fabulous creations (his incredible Bûche de Noël) when visiting family in Christchurch for Christmas my tastebuds were not disappointed! The flavours, textures, presentation and attention to detail were next level!

His customer service and communication is amazing too - he even got in touch to ensure we knew about his menu changing over the festive season and made sure we didn't miss out on a booking. Only thing I'm gutted about is that we don't live closer so we could get our Butter Pastry...

Incredible treats AND customer service! I always try to enjoy Butter when I’m visiting Christchurch (well worth the wait!).
