Honestly Iâm so disgusted in this place. I had a shattered iPhone 8 screen, I took it in to be replaced at phone zone northlands I paid for the original screen + glass protector + new case $230 It didnât take too long and I was happy - however then the screen sensor stoped working meaning when I took calls it would start muting people, adding others to conversations etc so I took it back to get replaced I went back 4 times with the same issue, each one making the phone worse and worse. I had multiple âtechniciansâ telling me different things was told to come back then the technician wouldnât be there etc etc so in my frustration I emailed the main contact for phone zone nz explaining that this is a business phone and I just need it fixed. They replied and said we have spoken to the technician pop back and theyâll fix it so I did, and they knew nothing about it - started accusing me saying it was my fault etc (note Iâd had no problems of this nature when the glass was shattered) I had to wait 20 minutes for the guy to come back to fix it with âthe best screen we haveâ and low and behold heâs made it worse. This time the screen is too sensitive opens things that arenât meant to open the LCD screen colour is different and now with calls it sounds like the person is going out of range oh! And heâs broken my phone case that I had just bought (from there) doesnât tell me and then tryâs to charge me for another screen protector. I email the info line again asking for an explanation. Mean while my phone is even more broken so I go to another place, he grabs my phone and points out that my screen isnât even in place properly - that there is a visible gap between my phone and the screen - the screws werenât done correctly and the âtop of the line screenâ was second hand at best with cellotape holding parts of it together!!! Iâd never ever EVER go back...

Went in for a charging port issue, told them it was most likely fried, as i couldn't play music or charge from plugging it in and wanted to know how much to get it replaced and fixed.
My best guess is that my charging port got fried while using a family members' off brand charger, and the charging brick ended up frying randomly.
Was told I needed to use a high-speed charger instead of the lower speed charging cables as it seemed to charge on some of the high-speed cords in the shop.
With what the technician said and recommended, I got sold a new USBC to USBC cord and charger brick as I didn't own a USBC charging brick. $90, was told it would work fine, and my phone port just didn't work anymore with the slower cords.
I try to charge up and the phone charges for 40 seconds. (Yes, I timed it multiple times) Before it stops. I am waiting to test to see if it's an issue with the charger or the ORIGINAL issue I came into store with.
The lady seemed nice, but the guy seemed to just want to give me the fastest "fix" possible and send me away.
As someone who travels out of town for work, I end up spending one or two days at home before I'm off again. This is why I didn't come back into the store the next day as I had commitments after sorting the "fix" and are currently out of town again for work.
Currently, my only option for keeping my phone charged is my wireless phone mount charger, which is incredibly inconvenient and...

I have had my screen replaced on the 19th of May 2022 for my iPhone xs max. All was good with the phone until a week ago when it started having problems with the LCD screen and touch screen. Upon taking the phone back today to Phone zone Northlands they proceeded to tell me that it's my fault that the phone is broken as there is a crack in the screen. There is no crack in the screen. After conversing with the employee, they told me that all I can do is ring head office on (033482353) and after we have gone there then if head office say it's okay they will happily change the screen. I asked why this suddenly is happening to the LCD screen after getting it replaced when the phone didn't have this problem before hand. I was told it is a pressure issue and that nothing can be done about it because it wasn't their fault. I disagree due to the original problem of the phone was a cracked screen (dropped by accident on kitchen bench) that I wanted replaced. Surely after getting a completely new screen installed, there should be no problems and if there is a problem arise, it should come back on the technician who...
