Ocean is still very cold at the moment, I only got hip deep, lol.
Ps if you don't like dogs don't walk here during Auckland City Councils summer or winter 'off leash permitted hours', as it's a shared space that dog owners & the general public...
Read moreIt's a good beach, I would say that long bay would be better but Milford has it's own good points. The beach is long, and you can reverse your boat into the sea. Due to the construction of the mechanical bridge, I am not sure if that is possible now. Public toilets with free showers, and a modern playground on a flat patch of green grass is great for picnics.
