Wow this reserve is total gem! The adventure playground is incredibly huge! Amazing sight also the walkways are enjoyable with dog owners and bicycle riders daily using this vast walkway..
Hidden bridge is captivating to find once you cross the back way to Westwave! Wow was blown away how this Reserve is connected to all surrounding areas of Henderson.. Walk this way you end up at Central park Drive...walk that way you end up at Edmonton Road... walk another way end up at Alderman Drive... Wow it's all connected centrally around this beautiful reserve... Trully peaceful, great place to run, train your dog and peaceful walks.
Forgot the jetty area, sadly vandals wrecked the fence and threw the life saver donut in the stream... Besides that still a wonderful reserve for picnic with family...
Read moreTook moko babies, before our swim at westwave, had fun except for a group if teenage girls who showed up and started swearing, had a word with them that my mokobabies where around and didn't need to hear them swearing, sure most of them would never swear in front of their parents, then thay started climbing on the outside of the tall structures, my mokobabies where worried for them, I just told my babies to never do that ever as so dangerous, and never follow others just because they do silly things, great park but needs more old school swings, swings where down at other little park, and I couldn't leave half at one park and walk away. At first I thought it was for BIG kids but was pleasantly surprised that he attempted to climb up onto the playground and down the slides..kids learn by watching their peers and i could tell my grandson was taking it all in. It's a really special and amazing place..i really liked the big logs and rocks and the fact that it was naturally resourced...well done! Will definitely visit again. We come...
