One of the most impressive features of the playground is the baskets that are suspended high above the ground by monkey ropes at a height of four meters.

They resemble giant bird nests that offer panoramic views of the park. As an adult, I was afraid when I climbed the ropes, feeling every vibration and shaking of the structure.

But children of three years old easily climb the ropes, deftly clinging to rope ladders and nets.

They show no fear or discomfort with the movement of the rope structure when they reach the baskets and enjoy the thrill of being so high.

Conveniently located with easy multiple pedestrian accesses, including from the Olympic class multi-purpose swimming complex adjacent to Henderson CBD.

The amenities are well placed within a very substantial large reserve. Flying foxes (yes, a pair) are well maintained. Climbing activities more suited to older child provide some extreme confidence building and challenges. A 'lullaby-type' swings also available.
