We had a great dinner at Yaruki Japanese restaurant in Henderson. It was not authentic Japanese food. I would say it is more of a Korean Japanese restaurant or Japanese food made by Koreans with a Korean twist. For example, their beef tataki is well done all the way through as shown in my photo, their sashimi platter mainly consist of this white fish rather than having some tuna pieces or scallops and other varieties, and their tempura had a different type of dipping sauce from usual Japanese tempura dipping sauce and it had differently crumbed prawns. We were originally a bit disappointed when food first came out but everything tasted good! Their beef tataki was so soft and well seasoned. Their sashimi, although lack in the types of variety served, was really fresh and well sliced. Everything tasted delicious and the ladies were so lovely. I would give them a 4.5 out of 5 given their service, taste and serving portions. If you are looking for a pleasant place for good food in the area, that’s the place just don’t expect it to be...
Read moreI cannot accurately rate the food for this restaurant. We waited well over 10 minutes for a table, totally ignored by staff,.there were 4 free tables but all covered in dishes from previous diners. Another patron stated "that's how you do it, lucky they didnt order or they would still be sitting here, like us". We walked past about 15 minutes later and same patrons were just getting served, hopefully...

They take pride in their food, its presentation and service. It takes me back to my regular visits to Japan and the friendliness and service you expect at the higher end of the market. It is frequently busy, but you never seem to have to wait long. The do also offer takeaways, but I like going thee so much that if I am going to drive there, I will stay and eat there....
