I write this as I'm leaving a writing retreat at Vaughan Park and can honestly say I’ve written more in four days than I have in the past ten years of procrastination. This place is an absolute gift to anyone looking to reconnect with their creative work in a focused, inspiring, and deeply peaceful setting. The location is breathtaking — just a short stroll from the beach, with nature walks that take you up to the tops of coastal cliffs for panoramic ocean views. The grounds are serene and beautifully maintained, and the wraparound windows in the main workroom meant every participant had their own desk space, each with views that spark creativity and calm in equal measure. The food deserves its own five stars. Every meal was cooked from scratch with love and care — wholesome, nourishing, and generously portioned. Many of us went back for seconds (often!) and several participants commented that they hadn’t felt so healthy or clear-headed in years, which directly boosted the quality and volume of their creative output. My room was minimalist but clean, quiet, and perfectly suited to focused solo work. I loved being able to step straight out into the fresh air through a private glass door. The common rooms provided comfortable spots to connect with fellow retreat-goers during breaks, and the staff were warm, attentive, and incredibly respectful of our working hours — always doing their best to avoid disruption while keeping everything neat and welcoming. Vaughan Park is not just a venue — it’s a catalyst for deep work and creative breakthroughs. If you’re looking for a place to sequester yourself or bring a group to finally make real progress on your writing or study project, this is it. I’m leaving with pages of new work and a renewed sense of purpose… and honestly, I hate to leave.

Beautiful retreat! Great scenery, sea air, nature vibes. Enjoyed my stay here with our PASG family. Welcoming uplifting hosts Rev and Faletua, love it. Comfy bed and sheets, shower pressure was bomb as lol. And the food was so good, plentiful and healthy cooked with love. Thank you for providing a safe environment for retreat and recharge physically, mentally and spiritually. Refreshing all round, thank you.

Sadly, it has gone down since my last visit over a year ago. Everything is looking very shabby, cleaning is not up to par and food ok. It's still a beautiful location, though.

We had a 24-hr mother-daughter retreat (+ meals) at Vaughan Park and had a beautiful time. The place is spacious, clean and comfortable. We loved the simplicity and the exquisite views. The beach is such a joy for walking and swimming. It offered us the perfect time and space for connecting with one another and also for contemplative inner spiritual work. We thoroughly enjoyed the chapel with its splendid architecture and view as well. We met lovely people at the Centre in communal encounters which were very life-giving. The food was nutritious and tasty. We highly recommend this place as the perfect spot to rejuvenate...
