Euro Patisserie Torbay North Shore — Restaurant in Hibiscus and Bays

It's one of my favorite places to come to. When I came here for the award for 1st place for their steak n cheese l pie, the line was down the street!

I really wanted to post up a review of their guiness beer gravy steak and cheese pie they used to make cause it was my personal favorite pie auckland, but they don't make it anymore :(. However when I'm in the area I always come here.

Steak, jalapeño and feta pie 8.4/10 Good, solid pie. Jalapeño give a good kick. Feta is quite Suttle. Always wonder what it would be like if they add the same cheese from their other pies. Pastry excellent, bottom of the pie is perfection.

Beef stroganoff pie 8.2/10 It's pretty much beef stroganoff in a pie. Really good, good amount of mushrooms too. Pastry is the same as other pie. It's very hard to beat.

Please bring the Guinness pie back so I can update...

Absolutely shocking. Very sticky, so sticky that my knife stuck to the lemon curd…which btw is not, NOT lemon curd. The consistency is more like a sticky toffee. The pastry is over cooked or very old. Meringue is not good, in fact it’s worse than not good, think the pic says it all. Meringue should be light and fluffy. That there is dense and definitely not fresh at all. My husband thought that maybe I would like to try it because I am a huge fan of lemon meringue pies or tarts and this one by far is the worse I have ever had. I’m throwing it away as I don’t want to get sick if it is old. Their savoury pies I’m told are good. Perhaps stay away from the sweet stuff. For the love of God…..steer clear of the lemon...

Steak & cheese pie $7 (over priced for an average pie) Chocolate donut $3 (dough inside wasn’t cooked) Chicken Kebab on stick $4.50 and that was the only thing I enjoyed.

No surprises as this was the same the last time we bought from here. Was in town and visited one of my favourite bakery in Torbay the Torbay bakery. Bakery was full and line was out the door so I saw that this bakery was empty and quickly ran in As I needed to chase time. Kicked myself after I bit into my food, waste of my money.

Highly recommend the bakery few shops down “Torbay Bakery ” they never disappoint and prices are better. Next time I will just wait for a better cost and...
