King Club Pool Hall — Attraction in Howick

I had an absolutely terrible experience at this pool bar that I’ll never forget, and unfortunately, it wasn't for the right reasons. We were playing a game of pool and went just 5 minutes over our allotted time, which I didn't think would be a big deal. However, the women owner came over and started screaming at us, calling us "disgusting and gross" in front of everyone.

It was incredibly humiliating and hurtful, especially coming from the owner of the establishment. I couldn’t believe the level of disrespect and lack of professionalism displayed. As a paying customer, I expected to be treated with some level of courtesy, but instead, I was made to feel small and unwelcome.

This experience completely ruined what was supposed to be a fun night out. I would never recommend this place to anyone, and I will definitely never return. It’s sad to see such poor customer service in a business that should be about people...

Receptionist was extremely rude and disrespectful calling my family and I “shameful” and “disgusting” for accidentally going over time on our pool game which we politely apologised and offered to pay for. She continued to hurl insults as we left. Very disappointing. I’ve tried to find an email address to contact the owner but unfortunately there was no luck but would love to have a word with them. From the video taken for our own safety you hear her saying “how long will you be?” (We thought she was asking a question) which we politely replied “maybe 10 minutes” she immediately raises her voice “No you’re done now, what makes you more special than everyone else? You are shameless people” you then clearly hear the boy say “sorry we weren’t sure, we can pay you for the half hour” she continues hurling insults calling us “shameless” and “disgusting” humans. Had the worst experience here. The hourly rate is pricy, the tables are either in bad condition which doesn’t allow the ball to move in a straight line or they have duck tape on the side of their table. Extremely expensive drinks under a condition of not allowing customers to bring in their own drinks $5 for a can ok coke is insane. The most annoying and unexceptional thing is the old lady at the service desk, either very bad customer service was performed or was being very loud on the phone the whole room was just her screaming...
