Oh! My Chicken — Restaurant in Howick

Finally a really good korean chicken place in east auckland!!! Their chicken is very crispy on the outside (can hear the crunch) and very juicy inside. The original crispy chicken is not overly salty or bland, which is perfect. The seasoned chicken aka 양념치킨 is the bomb. Not super sweet or spicy. If you want to try something different, try the deep fried chicken gizzard. It's a tough part of a chicken so it may be an acquired taste, but it's really good. I'll retry the gizzards when dine-in is allowed when lock down level goes down. Their takeaway boxes are really cool design as well, and oil or sauces doesn't seep out easily. Also, warning, their spicy crispy chicken is REALLY SPICY. If you can't handle fire noodle level spiciness, stay away! 10/10, best chicken in...

We've ordered from Oh! My Chicken 3 times, now. The first time, it was great. We ordered the hot and spicy bone in chicken and it was so tasty. The second and third time, we tried to order the hot and spicy again, but both times, they gave us the hot and crispy chicken. The first time we got the wrong order, we blamed it on a bad phone connection...The second time, we were sure to very clearly specified that we wanted the hot and spicy with the sweet and spicy chicken, not the plain. They confirmed...and yet once again, they gave us the plain fried chicken. It was also very obvious that they did not give us a full chicken -- there was only one drum stick and only one thigh. The plain fried chicken is not good. We will be ordering from Mama...

Fried chicken is consistently cooked perfect. I like the soy garlic. Tried the honey garlic today & it wasn't as flavourful. Disappointed today they got my order wrong.

I ordered a Kongbul (& mentioned pork belly when ordering on the phone) & what I got was Budaejjigae which is completely different. I did think ot eas weird when he mumbled the dish name back. The price is same. It was my 1st time ordering it, so when I picked it up I was puzzled it was a soup but didn't realize til i opened it at home. I don't like processed meats, so i wouldn't have accepted it if I knew. He was nice enough to warn me it's spicy.

The place is always clean & tidy. Getting in & out of the driveway with other drivers & finding a car park can be tricky on...
