Located on the Napier Hill, this gardens is completely open to the public, and features a great duck pond, bird aviaries, and a walking track that surrounds the entire area.
It's a fantastic place to bring the family, or to visit if you're wanting a beautiful walk around a wide selection of flora.
The walk around the site is quite steep going up one side and down the other, however doesn't require too much energy if you're looking for a casual stroll. The main area at the bottom is fairly flat though, containing the pond, the birds and a beautiful expansive grass area if you're not up to the hilly walk.
The groundskeepers should be commended for the fantastic maintenance that is obviously kept up at the gardens. Everything is always clean and well pruned.
