The Beer Spot — Attraction in Papakura

Went in this afternoon with my friends and fam to catch up. Was under the impression this was a nice family spot to catch up with friends. Sat down with our friends and got some drinks. All was good until the next round of drinks when I went up to order with my husband and put my order in which was fine with the server until my husband put in an order as well and the server had to change what she had prematurely put into the eftpos machine to pay, which she was not happy about. I understand it’s Sunday and everyone is tired but this establishment only relies on service of drinks and the food in the food court takes on all the food reviews. Next we went back to sit down and my son, who was actually being very well behaved and calm ( he does have learning disability and we do find it hard to find places that don’t over stimulate him) , the server from before came over with no other reason but to scold my child about touching the curtains , she does not look at me or tell me that there is an issue with what he is doing, he is 3 and has touched a curtain not broken anything or annoyed any other customers , apparently just this lady, who had told him this is not a play ground and don’t touch the curtains. He does not understand what is being told to him he is just frightened. Unfortunately we will unlikely be back to your establishment as this is not an inclusive environment and definitely not made for family’s. Edit: the beer spot has talked to the staff and has resolved the issue. Look forward to giving this spot another go! Nice spot in Papakura, had a catch up with work mates today. Unfortunately one of the workers, (older lady with grey hair) seemed abit rude and unwelcoming. There were a few of us who had bought beers and were enjoying the food from the food court. For those of us that had interactions with her didn't appreciate her tone and body language. I've seen two similar reviews so I'm guessing we aren't the only ones to experience this. We'd suggest she change her attitude as we decided to leave early and go somewhere else. Beer was interesting, some cool flavors. Customer service...

I'm sure this place is fantastic. We drove here from Tuakau a couple of weeks back, organized for friends to meet us, were looking forward to it. After driving around for a bit trying to find a park we walked to "The Beer Spot" only to find it closed. So I would say if you plan on visiting maybe call first to ensure they are open as the hours listed on Google are not reliable. Maybe the person in charge of this Google account could update holiday hours to save people hours of time wasted. Look forward to trying this place...
