Dear All, I would like to bring to public attention about few issues with this shop.
Today (Sunday Jan 15th, 2017) the display price for Avacodos was 0.49c each or 3 for 0.99C. However at the check out I was told that 0.99C each or 2 for 1.49C. I have showed the display price for the check out lady who told me that the price is NOW changed and they did not have time to change the display price. When I asked they should not do that, she became aggressive and abusing me "f--off bi---, get out" which was completely inappropriate and rude.
According to Fair trading Act NZ, they can not display one price and sell different price at check out, I am not concerned about the price difference, it was the lady's attitude to a customer and not following the legal business rules.
You do not need a good English to be polite to a customer, they are not giving us free vegetables, a consumer deserves respect. If she does not like that stressful job, she should not be standing there. I found all of them very unfriendly except 1 lady. In particular broad faced, short lady with flat face and nose is the most aggressive person.
If this happens to any one, the next step is to complain to Commerce Commission for price discrepancy and consumer forum for rude, abusive aggressive behavior. Other avenues are, take a photo and make aware to public on Face book and Instagram.
I also notice several comments about uncleanliness and filthy environment - please take a photo and complain to Auckland City Council.
In addition, I notice the weighing scales are not correct which also need to brought to attention of appropriate Department (please google, you can get all the information). This shop and the lady's behavior is a disgrace to Auckland, I am sure this would be effecting this shop if not now eventually!!!!
Addendum: I have found the name of the rude aggressive check out operator as "Daisy". Please try to avoid this person as she gives misleading information and swearing and abusive which is appaling and disgusting.
I will share further details from Commerce Commission and Auckland City Council soon for...
Read moreI've been shopping at this location for a few years (it's very close to my location ) Over the years checkout staff at this place is getting worse and worse and now they have started swearing at english speaking customers in mandarin language (it's funny) ,
most of the staff knows English but pretends to otherwise in order to avoid helping the customers and keep going with their daily duties . They sell shopping bags like all other markets, however this market sells the same bags for twice the price. Produce is fresh, but it's not cheap like they advertised. Only very few items are cheaper as advertised (these items are usually substandard quality ) &
Rest of the items are over inflated.
If you are Asian then this place is good for you to shop and staff will be very nice , courteous and friendly. But if you are kiwi or other ethnicity your experience can be sour and unpleasant.
I think that explains very well in their 3.6...
Read moreMt Roskill Fresh is my weekly go-to for affordable fruit, veg, and meat. It’s an Asian supermarket on Stoddard Road with great prices and a wide range — I usually stock up on chicken drumsticks, nibbles, wings, liver, and fresh produce. Their 30-pack of free-range eggs for $22 is cheaper than my local Woolworths, which is a win.
The produce is mostly fresh — I still do a quick check — but I’ve never had an issue. My toddler loves picking his own fruit and popping it into the trolley, which makes the shop that much smoother.
There are two trolley areas: one outside by the car park (a bit older), and one just inside the entrance with newer trolleys — though those ones need a $2 coin, which you’ll get back when you return it. Parking’s close and easy, especially if you’re doing a quick in-and-out.
If you’re in Mt Roskill and want decent variety without spending supermarket prices, this place is...
