Calamian Islands Travel and Tours — Attraction in Coron

From the very beginning, our experience with this travel agency was smooth and well-organized. When we first visited their office, Ms. Joan was very accommodating and made sure all our concerns were addressed. Everything was handled efficiently, setting a positive tone for our trip.

For our first package, we booked the Super Package as an exclusive tour since we preferred not to travel in large groups. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by our tour guide, Kuya Jen, who immediately assisted us with our swimming gear. On the boat, he impressed everyone by explaining the history of Coron and its islands in detail—something we noticed other tour guides weren’t doing. In fact, some tourists even looked as if they wished they had Kuya Jen guiding them!

What sets Kuya Jen apart is not only his deep knowledge of Coron’s history but also his gift for communication. Having worked in customer service during the pandemic, he speaks fluent English and can also converse in Tagalog, Bisaya, Ilonggo, and even some Spanish. This made interactions with different guests more engaging and inclusive. His cheerful personality and constant humor kept us entertained, and by the end of the day, our stomachs hurt from laughing so much.

Another highlight was how thoughtful and skilled he was in creating memorable moments for us. He took drone shots using our phones, guided us to the best photo spots, and even taught us how to pose for great pictures. On top of that, he introduced us to free diving during our very first trip—something we didn’t expect but truly enjoyed.

On our second tour, the Island Escapade, Kuya Jen brought along his close friend, Kuya Long, a certified professional free diver. Since his client had canceled, he generously helped us practice free diving at no extra charge. He filmed our underwater moments using his GoPro Hero 11, taught us how to do “aura” poses underwater, and even edited the videos for us—ready to post on TikTok. All of this was done free of charge, which really showed their passion for making guests happy.

Another detail worth mentioning is the food—the dishes prepared were not only satisfying but also so flavorful and delicious, thanks to their talented chef. It really added comfort and enjoyment to our island-hopping experience, making each stop even more memorable.

When we decided to cancel our third trip, we were pleasantly surprised at how professionally the agency handled it. Ms. Joan refunded the full amount right away. This is very rare, as many agencies often deduct cancellation fees or add hidden charges. Their transparency and fairness really gave us peace of mind and trust in their service.

Overall, our Coron experience was unforgettable largely because of Kuya Jen and the agency’s excellent service. His knowledge, humor, and hospitality made every moment worthwhile, and the agency’s professionalism gave us confidence throughout our trip. I honestly believe Coron wouldn’t have been as exciting and memorable if Kuya Jen wasn’t our tour guide.

Not gonna lie… this tour was the highlight of our trip! We had such a fun and unforgettable time. Definitely a core memory 😭

1️⃣ Amazing Tour Team

We had Kuya Mark R. as our tour lead, with Randy and Kuya Rolly as our guides and also, I forgot the name of the other kuyas who were always at the back, cooking our snacks and helping us out, but seriously, the whole team was the best! 🥹

They weren’t just doing their jobs, they really made the experience feel special. So hands-on, thoughtful and fun to be with!

2️⃣ They Took All the Best Photos (And made us take photos! 😅)

Here’s one thing we really appreciated, we usually just take photos of the place or the view and we’re honestly not the type to ask people to take photos of us.

But these guys? They were the ones asking us! 😂

They’d say things like, “Minsan lang ‘to, ma’am! Sayang memories!” or "This doesn’t happen every day, ma’am! Let us take your photo so you have something to remember it by!"

And they weren’t just saying it, they meant it!

They’d really convince us to get in the shot, fix the angles, help with poses, everything.

We never had to ask, they were the ones making sure we had great pictures to look back on. So thoughtful and sweet! ❤️

3️⃣ Good Vibes All Day

The vibe was just so fun and light. No pressure, no stress.

We had lots of laughs Met new people/friends And the guides made everything feel relaxed and enjoyable

It honestly just felt like a good day out with friends who knew all the best spots 😆

4️⃣ Learned new things!!

Kuya Mark explained things so well, nothing too formal or scripted. Every time we were curious about something, the team had answers and stories to share.

You can really tell they love what they do.

5️⃣ Lunch was....... 💯

Lunch buffet was at Baia Serena Resort in Uson Island and the view there?? UNREAL. I swear we just kept staring, it was that beautiful.

The food was amazing too! My top picks:

7️⃣ We also did the Island Escapade…

We joined a second tour few days after this, the Island Escapade, but this time with a different set of guides.

And honestly... it just didn’t hit the same 😔 We really missed Kuya Mark’s team.

Not gonna say much, but yeah, there was a big difference in energy and overall experience.

They made us feel like more than just tourists, they made us feel taken care of.

This was our first trip with Calamian Islands Travel and Tours and it lived up to our high expectations. We were treated with an organized trip with wonderful island hopping activities and swimming spots, tolerable hikes, and fascinating trivias of the islands. The boats were comfortable, secure, and manned by experts. The local guides who accompanied us were informative, patient, accommodating and entertaining. The itinerary was carefully planned, ensuring all guests get to experience all fun-filled activities while discovering remarkable wonders that Coron has to offer.

A warm shout-out  to the local guides who  brought their A game in ensuring everyone gets to have the best experience.

Day 1 𝐂𝐎𝐑𝐎𝐍 𝐓𝐎𝐖𝐍 𝐓𝐎𝐔𝐑 - The entertaining Kuya Athan. You'll learn the name of Nemo once you get to meet him. He'll also bring you to one of the most interesting hot springs in the Philippines.

Day 2 𝐂𝐎𝐑𝐎𝐍 𝐈𝐒𝐋𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐔𝐋𝐓𝐈𝐌𝐀𝐓𝐄 𝐓𝐎𝐔𝐑 - The boat crew and tour guides especially the polite, soft spoken yet very informative Kuya Rodelas who went above and beyond in giving us  the best experience in each of the lakes and islands. Kuya Ryan G. who helped capture important diving moments. I don't know how to swim, but both of them coordinated and made sure that I'll be able to dive, get amazing photos in the process, and live to tell the experience. I survived the dive, thanks to them. They have also been very flexible, patient, and accommodated our requests to extend a little longer to enjoy the view and swim in the lakes.

Day 3 ISLAND ESCAPADE TOUR ATTRACTIONS - The boat crew and tour guides especially the fun and talented Kuya Harvey B. and Kuya Jun for bringing us to stunning beaches and sandbars and obliging all our requests to take IG worthy photos and videos. Aside from providing trivias, cool different photo pose tips, Harvey can also sing. Make sure to take advantage of his good singing voice and request for him to sing your favorite song when you can. I am sure he'll indulge and serenade you with a song or two while Island hopping.

I would also like to commend the hotel staff especially Mark, CK, and Abigail as they are a pleasure to deal with. Thanks to them we had a clean, secure, and comfortable stay at Ruhe Suites. We were there for four days and three nights and we were attended with utmost warmth during our entire stay. Every need was catered with care and velocity making us feel very important.

I am 110% a satisfied guest and I am recommending Calamian Islands Travel and Tours to everyone who wants to have fun, worry free and relaxed vacation in Coron.
