Mandala Spa & Resort Villas — Attraction in Malay

Do not stay at this place at any cost. Just go there for the message and leave. Furniture needs renovation. Staff do not understand the meaning of the word “hospitality” not capable of doing simple tasks. ||||Manager is a liar, scammer and needs a manager to manage him. ||||We were on honeymoon booked for 2 days I wanted to leave the place first day I arrived. They sent us a tok tok for pick up and came late. When I clearly told her I have 4 bags we need a car instead I had to wait for a tok tok which is available anywhere in the city. I didn’t take it and rented a mini van from another hotel. ||They offer 2 small bottles a day, staff doesn’t keep up with what you ask and they just ignore you and not give a reply. Table at the “romantic dinner” was broken instead of changing it which I asked for the intelligent staff they have tries to convince me that the Humans have never created a better table for the romantic dinner. While I was seeing 2 free tables they can change but these people lack sense of everything. ||||Then I complain to the manager and tells me 50% discount for your stay and I rejected it cuz I can’t stay anymore then accepted it for 1 night only as the time was late and we had the romantic dinner still to do and the message. ||||Next day I see the manager and he changes his words and lies and wanted to charge me for the room + everything else I did which in my initial reservation was included in the charge. ||||I had a big argument with the manager that needs a manager to manage him and insisted that I won’t pay a peso more than the room charge without his 50% I told them if you want one more peso then you have to call the police. ||||Worst day in a beautiful vacation. Worst place worst staff worst location outdated furniture. Wanna go there just for the SPA but I’m positive you will have a better experience somewhere else. ||||Finally, they broke 2 expensive Tshirts while doing their laundry. ||||Never there again and will never recommend and will write a comment everywhere I can to help people around the world avoid this place...

Overall experience was SUPERB! I want to point out some key points that I would like Mandala to commend:||1.) Booking and Reservation - it was very easy. I contacted Ms. Elke a week before our visit. It was for a three pax - Filipino Heritage Package. All was pre-arranged and the process was swift.||2.) Therapists and Concierge - they welcomed me and two of my friends with full smiles. I felt the Filipino brand of service from everyone. They offered us their signature turmeric lemon honey tea and it was refreshing! We came on a rainy day so that hot tea was perfection! Also, the assigned therapist Ms. Cherielyn was very courteous and knowledgeable of the whole package and she explained the process and its benefits.||3.) Villa - it was perfection! I never expected that no simple spa or city spa could match the whole preparation of a Mandala. The Villa made me feel like a king for a day. It was clean, regal, private, and serene. The villa added to the whole experience.||4.) Treatment - we availed Filipino Heritage Package (FHP). Initially, we were only interested in the Hilot Trilogy. But when Ms. Elke explained the inclusions of FHP, I answered book me that package. It includes Coconut Scrub the Bath for a King, and the Hilot trilogy. The treatment lasted for almost three hours and it was the most relaxing and therapeutic experience I had my whole life. I also had my free coconut during my soak in their rejuvenating bathtub. And the Hilot Trilogy, you know when you have a good massage is when you sleep during the session and at peace, and wake up feeling energized and rejuvenated. There were no afterpains during the whole treatment! I highly recommend their Hilot Trilogy as it is the legit Traditional Filipino Hilot. Availing the FHP will make the whole experience even better! And again, after the treatment, I had a pot of ginger honey lemon tea all for myself which was perfect after the relaxing treatment. My skin was also extremely smooth, silky, and supple after, and even though I am already in Manila it...

My wife and I spent 2 weeks visiting my family and decided to spend the end of our trip on Boracay just us two. The resort is beautiful and our room was spacious and felt luxurious (especially for the price!) The entire staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. When we arrived they helped us with our bags to our room. Every worker from the reception, spa, even the guy watering the plants greets you with a smile and a friendly hello.||My wife and I are both transgender and were never misgendered or mistreated. I even got a massage without an issue. Highly recommend getting a massage! They serve you tea and it’s a very relaxing experience. I chose the Muscle Melt because the description said it focuses on shoulders and lower back pain and I had been complaining about lower back pain before we got to Boracay. After that massage I still have no back pain even after returning home and going back to my physically demanding job as a welder. I loved the beautiful clothing in the lounge area of the spa. We definitely took some pieces home and got my wife a pair of earrings too. ||The resort is a short walk to the beach but be aware you will have to go down a hill on a trail type stairs with uneven, rocky ground and no handrails. At the end of the stairs there’s a pedestrian gate that leads out to the street that goes downhill before getting to the beach. It was easy for me and my wife but if you need mobility aids/disabled or are really out of shape or really drunk it might be difficult. The convenience stores, restaurants, bars, souvenir shops along the beach are very walkable (we only stayed in station 3). The free breakfast at the resort was also amazing. We ordered the fried fish flakes, quinoa pancakes, omelette, eggs florentine. ||My wife and I are well traveled and this was one of the best vacations we’ve ever had! ||Maraming salamat po Mandala! We enjoyed our stay so much we can’t wait to go back and will definitely recommend to our family...
