White Beach in Boracay is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the Philippines, known for its stunning white sand and clear turquoise waters. Here's a review of White Beach based on its pre-pandemic reputation:
White Beach Boracay is an absolute paradise for beach lovers. The powdery white sand stretches for about four kilometers, providing ample space for relaxation and leisurely walks along the shore. The beach is divided into three stations, with Station 1 being the most upscale and Station 3 offering a more laid-back atmosphere.
The crystal-clear waters of White Beach are perfect for swimming, snorkeling, and various water sports activities. The calm and gentle waves make it a great spot for beginners and those looking for a relaxing swim. There are also numerous vendors along the beach offering activities like parasailing, jet skiing, and banana boat rides.
The beach is lined with a wide variety of restaurants, bars, and resorts, catering to all budgets and preferences. From local eateries serving delicious Filipino cuisine to upscale restaurants offering international dishes, there is no shortage of dining options. The beachfront bars and clubs also come alive at night, creating a vibrant and lively atmosphere.
One of the highlights of White Beach is the stunning sunset views. As the sun sets behind the horizon, the sky transforms into a beautiful palette of colors, creating a picturesque backdrop for romantic walks along the beach.
The only drawback of White Beach is that it can get quite crowded, especially during peak tourist seasons. However, if you prefer a more serene and secluded experience, you can explore other less crowded beaches on the island, such as Puka Shell Beach or Diniwid Beach.
Overall, White Beach in Boracay offers a perfect blend of natural beauty, exciting activities, and a vibrant atmosphere. It's a must-visit destination for anyone looking to experience a tropical paradise in the...
Read moreMarch - April 2023. Ive never wrote a google review so this just shows how disappointed i am in this "paradise" This place was once the most amazing part of the Philippines but unfortunately the area has been ruined but the sheer number of people that visit and the fact its been commercialised for money, its more like a cattle market now than a paradise. Locals also constantly haras you to buy there merchandise and excursions, even if you say "no thank you" they will ask and ask again. Rude is an understatement. You cannot rest on the beach for more than 5 minutes without someone asking you to buy stuff. Its ok in Morocco but not here. Even if your eating in a restaurant you get harassed. The water has also been stripped of fish due to the pandemic as the locals had to eat something!! Cant balme them. The beach is smaller and the water isnt clean anymore, at least most of it. If the water is nice its full to the rim with people, in my opinion that is not a paradise. My advise is to visit Palawan, Coron. This area will never be taken over and made commercial as the local tribes wont allow it, its literally paradise there. Staff in my hotel who live in Borocay have also said the area has become sad and over run by Koreans and Taiwanese. I love the Philippines but unfortunately Borocay has become a mess. Your not even allowed to smoke anywhere. Only in designated sheds!! All the rules are absolutely mental! Even the boat trips are terrible as theres a million boats in the water, making it choppy and dirty. Even the coral reefs look sad and desperate for peace. Once again another part of the world thats been runied by the need for greed, too many hotels and even less beach because they keep building on top of it. Dread to think what this place will be in 10 years. Bring me...
Read moreWhite Beach, Boracay, Aklan, White Beach is the best known beach on Boracay Island, but there is another world-class beach, that you should not miss seeing while in Boracay. This magnificent beach, is called Puka Shell Beach or (Yapak Beach). Located on the northern part of Boracay Island, this stretch was originally called Yapak Beach, named after the barangay (the Filipino term for village), where it is located. Eventually the name “Puka Shell” has become more widely used to refer to the beach, because of the abundance of crushed “Puka” shells mixed in within the white sand, so the sand is coarser, than that of White Beach. Puka beach is a long beach, stretches for roughly 800 meters, enough space to find a nice cosy spot for you to hang out, and fronted by a big cliff with a forest alongside it. Puka Beach offers a different kind of beauty to white beach and it’s water is clear and unpolluted. It is also worth knowing, the water quickly gets deep, once you walk out a few meters from shore, and at certain times, the water can get rough and the current strong, conditions that are more risky for inexperienced swimmers. Take note that are no shower facilities or lifeguard services on this beach too. Puka Shell Beach is a public beach, where you can still experience the purity of Boracay, with less development and more nature. This is the perfect place to read your favourite book, and forget about the real world for an hour or two, and in the evening, the beach will be covered by...
