Worst food we’ve eaten in one week on island. Everything appeared to be frozen food, just fried in oil. My wife ordered the Pad Thai and almost gagged; it was so intense and strong, like pure Pad Thai sauce from concentrate. We all took a sample and agreed it was inedible.
My son ordered ribs, and although edible, they were covered with a rich, super-sugary, syrup sauce that was way too much for him, and me also. Couldn’t even taste the meat. We then had some previously frozen onion rings that were basic and flavorless.
This place needs to fire their entire kitchen staff and hire a professional chef to start over. We’ve been here a week now and this was definitely the worst restaurant at which we’ve eaten.
Also (yes, there’s more), they had a special “happy hour - buy one get one” drink special, all the listed drinks were 250 pesos. I ordered one lychee cocktail and one watermelon cocktail and was told “no, they have to be the same drink”. Ah, the Philippines; there’s always a catch. Each drink costs the same, so why does it matter?
So I ordered two lychee cocktails and when they were delivered, didn’t taste hardly any alcohol. Let me tell you now, I really don’t drink, like almost never. I am a huge lightweight; one shot and I get drunk. I drank both of these “alcoholic” cocktails and didn’t fee anything, I even did a balancing single-leg yoga pose to prove to my family that there was no alcohol in them. It’s all a scam. At home, I drink one shot and I’ll get drunk and fall asleep. At 8 Eight (stupid name, too), nothing.
One last thing; we were here on Dec 31st, 1hr before New Year’s Eve, and the whole place was filled with younger white people. The place hired some acoustic guitar player as entertainment, and he was the most depressing musician we ever witnessed. He played John Denver, the Carpenters, and other hits of the 70s. Bro, read the room. It’s New Years Eve and everyone is ready to party and he’s up there putting everyone to sleep,...
Read moreWe had dinner here and didn’t expect to enjoy it as much as we did! The restaurant serves a wide range of traditional Filipino favorites—from appetizers and main dishes to drinks and desserts.
Standouts for us included: • Sisig Rice • Create-Your-Own Palabok Station • Filipino Street Food Station • Barbecue Station – the skewers are grilled fresh after you order • Cebu Lechon Belly – hands down my favorite, with crispy skin and tender meat
The best part? You get all of this for less than ₱800. Definitely great value for the variety and quality of food offered.
We also loved the live acoustic singer who performed throughout dinner—and even took song requests! It made the night even more enjoyable...
Read moreWorst service ever…do not go here. There were only 4 other people in the restaurant but everything took forever. We ordered 3 non alcoholic fruit shakes and they came out one at a time over the course of 45 minutes. It took a full hour to get basic food. The worst part though was when my son clearly ordered a plain cheeseburger and emphasized just cheese, meat and the bun, the bun came out lathered with mustard on both sides. When we requested for the waitress to provide us a plain bun as we had ordered, she said she couldn’t because there is a cost for them to provide us a new bun. The whole experience was terrible…avoid...
